ABOUT
Ever played Half-Life, R.E.P.O, or physics-heavy Roblox games like Dead Rails and A Dusty Trip? If you have, you know how incredibly satisfying and fun that item grabbing and dragging mechanic is. It’s always felt like a missed opportunity that Minecraft never had this kind of immersive interaction built-in. Well, if you've been looking for a way to bring those same lively, dynamic physics straight into your blocky world—Drag Things is exactly what you need!

Main Features
- Interactive Drag Physics: Easily drag items/blocks by holding Right Click, then move them around smoothly by moving your camera.
- Kinetic Throwing: Want to throw an item? Just flick your mouse and release Right Click to launch it with velocity based on your movement.
- Dynamic Weight System: Heavy items like anvils or swords move slower with noticeable "drag lag", while lighter items like feathers are effortless to swing. Fully configurable via Cloth Config!
- Multi-Drag Chain: Manually chain up to 8 items together to move entire piles of loot at once!
- Smart Block Placement: Drag a placeable block onto a surface, hold, and release to automatically place it down in the world.
Automated Rituals & Block Functions
- Storage Ritual: Easily drag and drop items near any storage blocks (Chests, Barrels, etc.) to automatically deposit them.
- Crafting Ritual: Drag a Crafting Table near items to auto-craft on the go! (Currently supports all Shapeless Recipes).
- Enchanting Ritual: Drag an Enchanting Table near Lapis, an enchantable item, and XP orbs. The table automatically absorbs the orbs and enchants the item, complete with a dedicated HUD bar to track stored XP!
- Smithing Ritual: Drag a Smithing Table near a template, base item, and addition item to auto-craft your netherite or upgraded gear seamlessly.
- Grindstone Ritual: Drag a Grindstone near 2 identical items to repair and strip enchants (returns XP), or near 1 enchanted item to disenchant only.
Dynamic Tool & Weapon Interactions
- Weapon Swing Damage: Dragging a Sword, Axe, or Trident fast enough now slashes and damages nearby mobs. The faster you swing, the more damage it deals!
- On-the-go World Interaction: Interact with the environment dynamically by dragging tools over blocks. Hold
Shiftto trigger secondary actions:- Hoe: Tills farmland (Hold Shift)
- Shovel: Creates dirt paths (Hold Shift)
- Axe: Strips logs
- Pickaxe: Progressively mines blocks (crack stages build up, resets after ~2s idle).
Fully respects Fortune and Silk Touch!

- Pick up / Move: Look at an item and hold Right Click. Move your camera to drag it.
- Throw: Flick your camera and release Right Click while moving to launch the item.
- Chain Items (Multi-Drag): While dragging an item, look at another item and press the G key (Default bind, can be changed in Controls) to chain them together (Up to 8 items).
- Place Block: Drag a block onto a solid surface, hold steady, and release to place it.

To run Drag Things smoothly, please ensure you have the following mods installed:
- Fabric API: Core dependency. The mod will not launch without it.
- Cloth Config API: Required to load and save your custom configuration (like item weights).
- Mod Menu: (Highly Recommended) Allows you to open the configuration screen directly in-game to rebind keys and adjust settings.
You can definitely have other things to improve the visual:
- Smooth Glowing Resource Pack: Enhances Minecraft's default glowing outline effect, making chained or targeted items look much cleaner and smoother.
- Item Physic Lite: (Highly Recommended) Adds incredibly satisfying 3D physics to dropped items, making the dragging experience feel twice as immersive!

Known Issues
- OptiFine Incompatibility: Using OptiFine (Optifabric) might cause rendering glitches or visual desync when dragging items. I highly recommend switching to Sodium and Iris for a much smoother (and lag-free) experience.
- Server-Side Delay: On high-ping multiplayer servers, dragged items might stutter slightly due to network latency.
- Mod Conflicts: Certain mods that completely overhaul item physics or inventory behavior might cause unexpected item drops.
