Gem-Abilitys is a Paper SMP plugin that adds 10 unique Gems, each granting its owner a special ability.

💎 The Gems

Gem	Ability
🔴 Red	Grants 10 additional hearts
🔵 Blue	Acts as an infinite Totem of Undying
🟡 Yellow	Configurable effects — preselected: Strength II + Resistance II
🟣 Purple	Configurable effects — preselected: Speed III
🟢 Dark Green	Mobs ignore the player
🟠 Orange	Configurable effects — preselected: Fire Resistance I + Regeneration II
⚪ White	Double Jump + immunity to fall damage
⚫ Black	Infinite Ender Pearls — preselected cooldown: 10s
🩷 Pink	Immunity to projectile damage
🩵 Cyan	Configurable effects — preselected: Conduit Power V + Dolphin's Grace V

🎮 Commands

/gem list
Shows the available Gems.

/gem status
Shows information about your currently active Gems.

/gem give <player> <gem> [amount]
Gives a specific Gem to a player.

Example:
/gem give Steve red 1

/gem give <player> all
Gives all Gems to a player.

Example:
/gem give Steve all

/gem limit <player> set <number>
Sets an individual Gem limit for a player without changing the global limit.

/gem limit <player> reset
Removes the individual limit and restores the global config limit.

/overflow
Opens your personal Gem Overflow.

/overflow see <player>
Allows administrators to view and edit another player's Gem Overflow.

/overflow clear <player>
Clears another player's Gem Overflow.

Administrator commands require the appropriate permissions.

📦 Gem Overflow

When a player reaches their maximum Gem limit, additional Gems can be stored inside their personal Overflow instead of being dropped.

Players can open it using:

/overflow

Gems can be added to and removed from the Overflow, and its contents are saved across server restarts.

Administrators can also view or clear another player's Overflow, including for offline players.

📖 How to use it

1. Install the plugin

Download the .jar file and place it inside your server's plugins folder.

Restart your Paper server afterwards.

2. Install the Resource Pack

The Gem-Abilitys-Texturepack.zip is included as a supplementary download.

Install it as a normal Minecraft Resource Pack or configure your server to provide it automatically.

Without the Resource Pack, the Gems will not have their intended custom appearance.

3. Get a Gem

For testing, an administrator can use:

/gem give <player> <gem>

For example:

/gem give Steve blue

⚙️ Configuration

Many abilities can be customized inside:

plugins/GemSMP/config.yml

Depending on the Gem, you can change things such as:

• Cooldowns
• Potion effects and effect levels
• Extra hearts
• Double Jump strength
• Maximum Gems per player

The config includes a list of supported potion effect names and examples for creating custom Gem effects.

The global Gem limit can be configured with:

max-gems-per-player

Individual players can have their own limit using /gem limit without changing the global value.

Restart the server after changing configuration values.
