Realistic Traffic Control
Realistic Traffic Control is a complete reimagining of the original Traffic Control mod by CSX8600, developed and maintained by Gamearoo.
Built for both Minecraft 1.12.2 Forge and Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge, RTC introduces a more immersive and realistic system of traffic lights, railroad equipment, sensors, pedestrian signals, signs, message boards, and controllers—perfect for cities, roleplay, railroads, and transportation infrastructure.
This is not just an update—it’s a total overhaul.

Minecraft 1.12.2 is now in maintenance support.
Going forward, the 1.12.2 version of RTC will no longer receive new feature additions. It will remain supported for bug fixes and maintenance only.
New features, major additions, integrations, and continued feature development will be focused on Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge.
This does not mean Minecraft 1.12.2 is being abandoned. Bugs may still be fixed, but its feature set will generally remain as-is.
Version numbers and updates may differ between Minecraft versions.
Starting with RTC 4.1.3, updates are no longer guaranteed to release for both Minecraft versions at the same time. Version 4.1.3 was a Minecraft 1.21.1-only update, and future updates may also be released only for 1.21.1.
Because of this, the 1.12.2 and 1.21.1 versions of RTC may have different version numbers, fixes, and release schedules. An update being released for Minecraft 1.21.1 does not necessarily mean that Minecraft 1.12.2 will receive the same update.
Minecraft 1.21.1 is currently considered Beta.
The major RTC features and content are already available. Beta status reflects continued testing, bug fixing, polishing, and active development of the 1.21.1 version.
The current target for the full Minecraft 1.21.1 release is early 2027. When 1.21.1 leaves Beta, RTC will move to Version 5.0.0.
This timeframe is a target and may change depending on testing and development.
Development
RTC is actively maintained, with additional fixes, improvements, integrations, and features continuing to be developed for Minecraft 1.21.1.
Recent development includes deeper integration with other mods such as Create and Power Grid, along with continued improvements to RTC's traffic, railroad, sign, and automation systems.
The goal is to provide a flexible traffic and transportation system that works for everything from simple intersections to large-scale city and railroad projects.
