Assembly Expansion
Assembly Expansion is a technology mod currently in its alpha stage. It introduces resource processing mechanics, energy generation, and basic automation components.
Features available in the current Alpha:
- Tin Ore: Can be found at Y=38 (regular) and Y=-58 (deepslate variant). Smelt it into ingots to craft plates and gears. Gears are used to craft the basic machine casing.
- Hevea (Rubber Tree): Generates in swamps and jungles. Comes with a full wood set.
- Rubber Acquisition: Acquisition mechanics: find a rubber tree, cut it with a special knife, place a bowl on any lower block (but not at the same height as the log block), and wait for it to fill with latex. After 2 minutes, a latex disc will drop; smelt it in a furnace to obtain raw rubber. Raw rubber can be pressed into rubber, or you can wash it, smelt it again, and get more rubber. We’ll run a poll in the mod’s bug-hunting Discord channel about how complex the rubber acquisition mechanics should be.
- Engineer's Hammer: Crafted from 2 sticks and 2 iron ingots. Essential for making plates.
- Energy & Machines: Includes a Generator (produces energy from burnable fuel) and a Crusher (doubles ores into dusts). The Crusher supports side configuration and "Energy"/"Speed" upgrades.
- Components: Added a Battery (stores up to 2 kFE) and a Circuit (recipes for upgrades and circuits are not yet implemented).
Future Plans & Roadmap (Not implemented yet):
- Silver & Lead ores
- Uranium & Nuclear Reactor
- Advanced resource processing systems
- Biotechnology
