Subtle Tweaks
Subtle Tweaks is a lightweight, client-side quality-of-life mod that adds a collection of small but meaningful improvements to everyday gameplay. Every feature is toggleable and most are customisable, so you only keep what you actually want.
Features
- Block Preview: See exactly where, and in what orientation, stairs, slabs, walls, and fences will be placed before placing them.
- Right-Click Harvest: Right-click fully grown crops to harvest & replant them instantly. Note: toggling this feature requires a world rejoin to take effect. Vanilla server compatibility may vary. Sneak + right click to harvest a 3x3 area (toggleable).
- Growth Stage HUD: Shows a progress bar and number indicator when looking at a crop to let you know how far through growing it is.
- Inventory Count: When hovering your mouse cursor over an item or stack of items in your inventory, a 'Total: ' message will be shown when multiple instances/stacks of that item are present in your inventory.
- Auto Collect Leads: Leads go straight into your inventory rather than dropping on the ground.
- Auto Run: Press a key (default: R) while moving to keep moving in that direction automatically.
- Compass HUD: Shows a highly customisable compass display.
- Coordinate HUD: Shows a display of your current coordinates.
- Overworld ↔ Nether Coordinate HUDs: Automatically shows your equivalent X and Z coordinates in the other dimension. Note: may display incorrect coordinates when used with certain mods (e.g. Immersive Portals). May display coordinates that are slightly off.
- Clock HUD: Shows the time of day next to your hotbar. Cave Awareness is an option that hides the clock and only displays it when you're likely underground (customisable Y-level, default: 55).
- Velocity HUD: Shows your current speed in m/s.
- Fall Damage HUD: When crouching at the edge of a ledge, the fall damage you would take from falling is shown.
All features are toggleable, and most are customisable. I highly recommend you check out the config after installing!
Dependencies
Subtle Tweaks requires Cloth Config and Mod Menu, as well as Fabric API.
Modpacks
Feel free to include Subtle Tweaks in modpacks, but please provide attribution and a link back to this page!
Other Versions & Loaders
Subtle Tweaks is currently available for Fabric. I am looking into 1.20.1 and 1.21.11 versions, and plan to explore supporting other loaders such as Forge and NeoForge in the future.
Feedback, Suggestions & Bug Reporting
Got an idea for a feature, found a bug, or just have some feedback? Let me know on the Issues page or start a Discussion — I'd love to know how I can improve Subtle Tweaks!
