📖 Overview

My Music Box (MMB) is a complete Minecraft mod and server plugin solution that allows you to add custom music into Minecraft as music discs with full 3D spatial audio streaming.

This project features 100% Standalone Multi-Loader support for Fabric, Quilt, Forge, and NeoForge, plus a dedicated Server Plugin for Paper, Purpur, and Folia (folia-supported: true). It can automatically download music from YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, Facebook, and 1000+ other platforms directly to your server using a single simple in-game command (/mymusicbox download "<url>" "<filename>").

💡 Embedded Engine: yt-dlp and Architectury API are 100% built-in and automatically managed by MMB! Server admins and players do NOT need to install any external software or dependencies manually.

🚀 Easy Installation

1. Download the compiled JAR file from the done/ folder:
   • Fabric & Quilt players: Place done/MyMusicBox-Fabric-Quilt-2.0.0.jar into your mods/ folder.
   • Forge & NeoForge players: Place done/MyMusicBox-Forge-NeoForge-2.0.0.jar into your mods/ folder.
   • Paper / Purpur / Folia servers: Place done/MyMusicBox-Plugin-2.0.0.jar into your plugins/ folder.
2. Start your Minecraft server / client.
3. Done! Everything (including yt-dlp and Architectury API) is automatically initialized by MMB.

Config files:

Key Options:

1. maxAudioFileSizeMb

   • Maximum audio file size allowed (default: 300MB)

2. musicDirectoryPath

   • Directory path where custom music files are stored (default: My Music Files)

3. creeperDropChance

   • Chance for Creepers to drop a custom music disc upon death (e.g. 0.05 = 5%)

4. chestLootChance

   • Chance for music discs to appear in dungeon / mineshaft chests (e.g. 0.1 = 10%)
