Vanilla Plus Utilities is a quality-of-life resource pack designed to make your gameplay cleaner and more comfortable. Instead of changing the game's core look, it tweaks specific textures and UI elements for maximum efficiency.

Features / What's Inside

Here is a complete list of quality-of-life improvements included in Vanilla Plus Utilities:

Combat & View Optimization

  • Short Swords: All swords are shorter and shifted to the bottom corner, freeing up massive screen space for PvP and survival.
  • Low Shield: The shield model is lowered in the off-hand, so it will no longer block your view during fights or building.
  • Compact Totem: The Totem of Undying is scaled down and made smaller, keeping your screen clear without distracting you from the crosshair.
  • Bow & Crossbow Tension Indicators: Added clear color stages for pulling back your bow and crossbow, allowing you to perfectly time your shots during intense PvP fights.

Survival & Exploration Tweaks

  • Outlined Ores: Adds clean, distinct borders around valuable ore blocks, making them instantly noticeable even in the darkest caves and deepslate layers.
  • Powder Snow Indicator: Added a bright red dot directly on the powder snow texture. You will never accidentally fall and freeze again!
  • Archaeology Markers: Suspicious sand and gravel blocks now have clear visual points, making it easy to spot ruins and trail ruins from a distance.
  • Clean Spyglass Lens: Removes all the annoying scratches, dust, and dirt pixels from the spyglass overlay, giving you a crystal-clear view while keeping the immersive vanilla border!
  • Consistent Netherite Helmet: Fixes a classic game inconsistency. The Netherite helmet item icon now accurately matches its 3D model, adding the protective nose guard plate that was missing compared to the actual armor model.

Interface Improvements

  • Mini UI Tweaks: Subtle, clean adjustments to the user interface to make menus, hotbars, or containers look less cluttered and more comfortable for long gaming sessions.
  • Smart & Semi-Transparent Buttons: When a UI button is disabled or cannot be clicked, it becomes semi-transparent, making menu navigation completely clear and intuitive.
