Gentle Horizons

Gentle Horizons is a heavy-resource modpack focuses on delivering a high‑fidelity landscape visuals experience by combining four core world generation and rendering technologies:

Terralith introduces a wide range of custom biomes and structures, expanding the diversity of the overworld.

Tectonic reshapes terrain generation, producing realistic mountain ranges, valleys, and river systems.

Geophilic refines biome transitions and terrain blending, ensuring smoother and more natural landscapes.

Distant Horizons extends render distance with efficient LOD (Level of Detail) rendering, allowing players to view entire mountain chains and valleys without performance loss.

Together, these mods create a cohesive and visually consistent overworld optimized for exploration. The pack emphasizes terrain realism, biome variety, and long‑distance visibility, making it ideal for players who want to experience Minecraft as a vast, explorable world rather than a patchwork of disconnected chunks.

It comes with the Chunky mod to preload chunks, ensuring smooth performance and delivering an incredible, breathtaking world.

To use Chunky, open the world and run /chunky radius <number> to define the area around spawn or any coordinate. Then execute /chunky start to begin preloading. You can monitor progress with /chunky status, pause with /chunky pause, or cancel with /chunky cancel. Preloading ensures smoother exploration, reduces lag spikes, and allows large landscapes from Terralith, Tectonic, and Geophilic to render seamlessly with Distant Horizons.

This pack comes preconfigured with Bliss Shaders and Complementary Reimagined, bliss enabled by default.
