SBO 0.6.0 for Minecraft 26.2 & 26.1.x
Upgrade Notes
19 bugs have been fixed in this release compared to 0.5.2. We highly recommend everyone updates when convenient. We originally planned a 0.5.3 release, but it had a lot more to it than these bug fixes - so we ended up picking 0.6.0 as the version number. Those that were sticking out to 0.4.3 due to bugs in the 0.5.x series may now upgrade.
As usual, here are the things you should keep in mind for this version:
- Update Fabric Loader, Fabric API, Fabric Language Kotlin before launching the game with this version (Mandatory). Update Iris and ModMenu if you have it as well (Optional).
- Enable "Show Title When Chain Ends" since the bug reverting its default-enabled status has been fixed. We have not retroactively enabled it again for upgrading users - you must manually enable it yourself, unless you are not using SBO for the Diana burrows. New users will get the option as default enabled.
- Ensure your Render Distance is set to at least 10 to avoid the nag on initial join to Skyblock about it. This enhances the solver quality as the mod can check for the grass block further away to determine whether a guess is in a valid spot or not.
- If you want the advanced chains display with internal state mismatch detection, disable the new "Simple Chains Overlay Mode" option which is default enabled now which aims to provide a simpler overlay to not confuse casual players.
- Run /sbobacktrackachievements to obtain the new achievements if you met the conditions in a previous event based on your past diana event data.
Note for New MC Version Support
Minecraft 26.3 is too new at the moment for us to support, support will come in later releases. Please be patient. We recommend staying at Minecraft 26.2 or 26.1.2 at the moment.
Restored 26.1 and 26.1.1 Support
We have seen a few people stuck in 0.3.0-beta release due to it being the last release to support MC 26.1 and 26.1.1 while all our 0.4.0 and onward releases requiring MC 26.1.2. Since MC 26.1.2 is a small bug fix release by Mojang, you really should not be using 26.1 or 26.1.1; but if you were, we restored support for it, so that you are not stuck on an outdated and ancient mod version.
Spawn Chances Command
Added /sbospawnchances (/sbosc) to display rare mob spawn chances with given tracking value.
Ironman Overrides
Added an option to make everything in the Loot Tracker take NPC prices (contributed by crosby-moe), or if you can't sell an item to NPC show as 0 profit. This option is similar in nature to the previous NPC Price Overrides option that forces things normal profiles also NPC sell out of laziness, but is more strict and applies to all items. The !profit Party Command will show that NPC prices are being used for profit and money/hour calculations when this is enabled.
Sound Enhancements
Added custom sound options when a mob reaches low HP defined in your config. Set "Sound HP Alert" in /sbo menu, then configure the sounds at /sbosounds to use it.
Custom sounds added into config/sbo/sounds directory can now be selected in /sbosounds without needing to restart the game.
Up to three sounds can now play at same time instead of a single sound.
The /sbosounds menu is now also categorized into sound categories, making it less overwhelming.
Custom Drop Message Enhancements
Custom drop messages now support some new parameters to get them upto the standard with the default message:
- {since} : Replaced with how many mobs it took to get the drop. For example, "7".
- {price} : The Auction House or Bazaar price of the drop. For example, "28.7m"
- {lstext} : Replaced with the literal text "(LS)" if the drop was from lootshare, otherwise replaced with empty text "".
New Achievements
Added "Oh baby a triple!" - Get 3 manti-cores in 1 event. Added "I can turn into a bee now" - Drop a Fateful Stinger. Added "Very greedy I see" - Get 10 Crown of Greeds in one event.
Please run /sbobacktrackachievements to see if the mod would automatically grant you these based on past events data.
Toggleable Crown Of Greed Title
Added "Crown Of Greed Title" setting to be able to toggle off the "Crown of Greed!" title on screen when dropping one.
Don't Show Again Functionality for Some Mod Messages
We have implemented a functionality allowing you to disable some messages the mod sends from showing up again when you hover and click on them. The following messages support this at the moment, but we are looking to extend the list in future releases:
- Debug messages are enabled notice
- Low render distance detected notice
- Failed to determine CoA Magic Find error
- Use spade message
- Removed Mob burrow waypoint due to death message
- Click anywhere on the screen while chat is open Sphinx message
- Party Finder social settings message privacy tip when creating a party, and /sboreloadstats tip when trying to join a party but not able to due to missing requirements
- Registered Lootshare mob message when Assume All LS is on
- Pausing playtime timer message
- Failed to read audio file error message
- Medal clip failed error message
Please note that we do not advise you of disabling the error messages unless they are spammed in the chat. For other messages, it is your choice whether or not you want them. We would also like a feedback if you think any message is too spammy so that we can disable it by default for everyone if possible.
Party Command changes
All party command output sent by SBO will now start with "[SBO]" prefix. This is to differenate between mods that use the same output format, such as SkySoft, so that you can know which one is which.
Also added !mod Party Command, which sends SBO's Modrinth link in chat. Useful if someone asks what mod is that from to quick reply.
Good news for Public Lobby players
While not common, we know that some of you still play in Public lobbies - there is now a "Share Rare-Mob in Public Chat" option to share Rare Mob coordinates and name of the Rare Mob in Public Chat instead of the Party Chat. This option was suggested in the Feature Ideas channel in SBO discord. Head over to our discord if you want to help improving the mod for everyone as well!
Look Alike Setting
We now have a new Setting that changes the look and scaling of Waypoints - essentially making them look more similar to SkyHanni visuals. Some of you wanted this, so we added it. We recommend setting the Waypoint Text Scale option to 1.00 if you are going to use this. Note that the colors will still be purple for closest and blue for others - change that if you wish so.
This option makes it so the distance is rendered on a separate, second line instead of being added to the main Guess text. The distance text will have a yellow color. It also changes the scaling factor - the text won't grow infinitely by distance - it will have a cap of how much big it can get even if you are really far away. This should usually make it so that if there is multiple waypoints near each other, the text overlaps less. It also makes the Block Outline opacity scale the same as in SkyHanni - showing it as full opaque if you are 13 blocks or further, and only start making it scale its transparency when 13 blocks or closer.
Let us know if Look Alike looks better than default look for you and we might make this the default in the following releases!
Experimental options
Added "Show Internal State Waypoints" into Debug category. Only use it if you know what you are doing! This option makes the mod add and show waypoints for state that is known internally but is not exposed with a user-facing waypoint. It is equivalant to running /sbodebugburrows yourself.
Bug fixes
- Fixed Rare Mob waypoints showing and warping you to unrelated warps at times, due to the mod simulating multiple warps since 0.5.0, it could swap from rare mob to a regular burrow after the first simulation and suggest a warp to that burrow, even if you used the specific Rare Mob Warp Key. This should be fully fixed now.
- Fixed Custom Drop Messages only affecting Party Announcer and not working on client-side drop message sent in chat. This should now work as it did in 0.4.3.
- Fixed a ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException crash related to Custom Drop Messages if you have an unusual configuration.
- Fixed the mod not tracking Ancient Claws, Enchanted Ancient Claws and Enchanted Gold accurately since 0.5.0. This happened because of an earlier bug fix to fix collecting gold from fishing or gold minions starting the tracker outside Diana. For that fix, we had added a precondition of a Diana mob dying recently before the items can be added to the tracker; which was failing at times because Hypixel sends the [Sacks] +X items. message later than what we predicted (anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds after a Diana mob dies).
- Fixed the mod showing lootshared items without a dedicated lootshare tracker entry as the amount zero, e.g., Mythological Dye (LS) #0. It should now correctly say
#1and the correct amount. - Fixed the mod not tracking Attribute Shards correctly due to the new CHARM! and LOOT SHARE! messages for them. This was an Hypixel change and not a bug caused by the 0.5.0 update.
- Fixed Hilt of Revelations and Crown of Greed not showing the drop messages and not being tracked at all for some people with not-synced windows time - this bug happened because SBO checks if the hilt or crown was created in the last 6 second as a fresh item to prevent tracking old items - and for people with not-synced windows clock, the unix epoch timestamp sent by Hypixel for the item's creation NBT tag could be more than 6 second off. We now use a fallback if the first time-based condition is not met, which is to check if a Diana mob has been died in the last 4 seconds - this check uses client-side time, so no server time difference here.
- Fixed the mod drawing the gray Sub Guess line to the next internal Sub Guess waypoint even if you had the "Show Arrow Sub Guesses" option turned off.
- Fixed Spade Guess and Sub Guess waypoints not getting removed sometimes when a Treasure/Mob/Start burrow is found at the same block, or rarely when digging them up.
- Fixed the mod removing Rare Mob Waypoints slower than it used to compared to 0.4.3, taking up to 2 seconds. It should be instantenous when the rare mob dies now again, and 1 second as a fallback if the entity has died before you get to the waypoint. Please note that NoammAddons "Hide 0 Health" option under the "Render Optimizer" module has been discovered to be incompatible with our Diana Mob Death detection, this was fixed on their side in a new update, and so your game won't open with old versions of NoammAddons to avoid this incompatibility. Please make sure all your other mods are up-to-date before launching with this version.
- Fixed dropping a Lootshare Chimera unlocking the First Relic achievement instead of the First Lootshare Chimera achievement.
- Fixed a possible internal state desync with Close Burrow Detection resulting in Internal Known (Debug) waypoints when running /sbodebugburrows while otherwise not showing an active waypoint.
- Fixed Overlays turned off in the config showing up on /sbomoveguis.
- Fixed an issue where /sbodropchances could be ran without providing a griffin rarity and cause ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException.
- Fixed x y z coordinates from non-ranked players in public chat not adding world or rare mob waypoints due to our Regex requiring the message to be in white color. Non-ranked players write with gray message color, which wasn't passing our required format in the regex. When in a party, non-ranked players also write with white message color which passed the format, so this only affects rare mob and world waypoints from public chat. It should all work fine now.
- Fixed the Waypoint text not rendering on top of translucent blocks such as water or leaves from a tree.
- Fixed the Waypoint text not rendering when Render Distance is set to a low amount when looking at certain angles to far away Waypoints, such as having a Render Distance of 3.
- Fixed the mod sending commands through player.connection.sendChat instead of player.connection.sendCommand. Hypixel had no issue with this, but this still a correctness fix. This improves compatibility with mythological ritual practice servers as well.
- Fixed a rare IllegalStateException: RenderSystem called from wrong thread disconnect when joining Skyblock due to an eager font.width calculation from a particle event in the netty thread.
Other improvements
- The King Minos hits remaining on the Mythos Mob HP overlay is now centered.
- The Mythos Mob HP overlay's HP line is also centered now.
- Updated the example line (used for preview in /sbomoveguis) in Mythos Mob HP Overlay from old Lvl 750 Exalted Minos Inquisitor with 40M HP, no mob type, heart or shuriken icons to the new Lvl 1250 Empyrean King Minos with mob type, heart and shuriken icons, along with the second line showing a 75 Hits left.
- The Overlay Edit Screen (/sbomoveguis) will now display enabled Overlays outside of Skyblock as well, so that you can move them around and configure before joining Skyblock.
- The Chains display is now more simpler unless you disable the simple option ("Simple Chains Overlay Mode") - this version only shows Pending Start and Active lines, no debug information or internal state mismatch detection. This has been deemed necessary as we can't calculate the amount of Chains you have active 100% accurately anyways and it was confusing most casual players - for example if you have started 7 chains then restarted your game with the old version and found a few Mob/Treasure burrows without starting any chains the display would get confused.
- In result of a connection to auction house price fetch failing and the prices being zero coins, the mod will not add (+0 coins) to the client-side drop message anymore. This was already the case for Party Announce.
- Updated the Debug chat messages by Diana Tracker to use a SBO(debug): prefix rather than debug: prefix.
- Having "Debug Messages" option enabled will now print a notice when joining Skyblock that you must likely want it turned off unless you are troubleshooting an issue with the mod. In addition, upgrading to this release will automatically disable the option if you had it enabled previously, due to the internal ID and name of the config option being changed to "Debug Only Messages".
- Added /sboreloadstats tip to the Party Finder Help page and to the Missing requirement/You can't join this party messages. Clarified that for the /settings commnd to work you need to be on the Hypixel Lobby for enabling direct messages suggestion.
- SBO will now automatically disable Diana features of Skyblocker and Firmament if SBO's Diana features are enabled to prevent bad user experience with multiple mods simultaneously showing different type of waypoints. Some of you reported to us that there was persistent orange burrow waypoints that never get removed, which was actually Skyblocker's diana feature; while Firmament showed a white block highlight in the air or under the bottom, where no guess can ever be, reported by some of you - SBO always verifies that the Guess is in a Grass block. These mods also lack an Arrow Guess feature - so we do not recommend using them together with SBO anyways. Using SkyHanni alongside SBO is and will remain supported for various obvious reasons. If you are a Skyblocker or Firmament developer and would like to get this revised, please do not hesitate to contact us or make a pull request.
- SBO will now adjust your Particle Quality to Extreme when joining Skyblock automatically. This is done for you to have a better experience and is harmless. This will and should fix cases of burrows re-appearing after digging them (known as ghost burrows by some people), which happens due to having less than extreme particle quality, since server sends less particles per tick spread out more.
- The "PartyFinder" category in settings has been renamed to "Party Finder" (with space).
- GUI scaling can now also be controlled using + and - buttons in the keyboard (Numpad section) while in the Overlay Edit Screen (/sbomoveguis) in addition to the mouse scrollwheel.
- Added "Mute Bugged Sounds" feature, enabled by default which fixes a Hypixel bug causing weird music to play rarely after using your spade. This feature has been adapted from SkyHanni.
- Renamed the "Don't Warp If a Burrow is nearby" option to "Don't Warp If Close" for shortening and consistent capitalization and enhanced its description.
- Moved Washed-Up Souvenir in Diana Loot HUD down to the section with other pet items such as Cretan Urn and Dwarf Turtle Shelmet.
- The mod will now warn if you have a Render Distance less than 10 chunks saying it will affect the Diana solvers quality when you initially join Skyblock.
- The AH/BZ prices will now update every 5 minutes instead of 10 minutes to prevent price manipulations affecting profit and money/hour calculations for a longer time than intended.
- Errors during AH/BZ price fetch will now only be logged to latest.log and not reported in chat. Most casual players can not really do anything to migitate these errors, and often wonder what went wrong in the first place. This makes sure the information is still accessible by more tech-savvy people while being hidden from clueless users.
- A few constants such as the distance required for an Arrow Guess to be able to move to its new subguess has been bumped up to 32 blocks from 30 blocks, as it makes more sense with the Minecraft's chunk system.
- Medal Clip title format changed from "[500 YEAR]" to "[YEAR 500]", where the year number comes after the year text, instead of the other way around.
- Lowered Party Command output delay from 250ms to 200ms again, matching older versions of SBO. The root cause for the server rejecting the messages for being too fast turned out to be something else (The onCommandOrMessageSent() Mixin trigger did not fire because the MixinClientPacketListener was forgotten to be included in the mixin list in mixins.json. This will not happen again in future as we have swapped over to automatic Mixin discovery with a Mixin plugin).
- Turned the "Show Title When Chain Ends" option again by default, as it was re-disabled by default defensively after the persistent Use Spade title not going away issue in a previous update after being enabled by default. The root-cause of that issue turned out to be different and was already fixed, so turn it back on by default now. Note that upgrading users do not automatically get turned on setting as we've learned our lesson to not disturb players that are using another mod for Diana burrows by enabling stuff after an upgrade by default.
- Added a message after successfully creating a party noting that you need to set direct message privacy to "Anyone" for people to be able to join your party.
- Added ResourcefulConfig, Elementa, UniversalCraft, hm-api, RenderChest and Fabric API to the Credits screen.
- The /sbodebugentities command will now also report an entity's passenger and/or rider if present.
- The Arrow Guess will now cache invalid guess positions to improve the detection for wrong guesses over the lifetime of your Minecraft session. This data is reset when restarting Minecraft to not cause permanently cached invalid data causing unforeseen issues at the moment, but might be made persistent in a later update.
- The Arrow Guess is now more strict about requiring an air block two blocks above the guess block. Previously, grass->air->any block in the allowedBlocksAboveGround list (consisting mostly of blocks such as flowers and leaves) was accepted. Now only grass->air->air will be accepted. The reason was that previously, Hypixel could send burrows at an inaccessible to player locations - but seems to only send accessible to players now since a while ago (Ever since shortly after the new Hub was released). For example, previously you could get a Burrow where it was under a Leaves block that required you to quickly mine the leaves block and then dig the burrow. This seems to have been made impossible server-side now, so this update in the solver updates it to match the new behaviour.
- Changed SBO-Kotlin initialization messages to use the SBO name, since the old CTJS (ChatTriggers) version has been sunset and SBO-Kotlin was renamed to SBO.
- Moved the Donate button in the GitHub - Discord button section into a dedicated Donate page in the side, with having a description and Patreon and Ko-fi link buttons.
Removed options
- Removed the "Text Scale" option in the Party Finder category of options. It seemed to be broken already and changing the scale even slightly could result in very big or very small text, even if you set it back to 1.0, due to floating point precision issues, it wouldn't be exactly 1.0 and so would still cause this issue. With it being removed, it will always default to the exact 1.0 default scale, fixing issues of very big or small text.
- Removed the "Always Diana Mayor" option that has been basically made default with environmental checks instead in previous releases - for example, instead of only tracking diana loot when our backend API strictly says that Diana is mayor, we now track it if a Mythological mob type mob (Diana mob) has recently died. This makes the mod work on Alpha Hypixel Network without needing to enable a debug setting as well.
Optimizations
- Optimized the custom .mp3 sound playback path to use a static final VarHandle rather than potentially costly getDeclaredField per call lookup in writeImpl.
- DirtyFlushableOverlay now won't call generateLines() if checkCondition() returns false, meaning it won't try to generate lines of disabled overlays, or when outside of their respective areas, such as Diana overlays being able to only render whilst in The Hub.
- Optimized the data saving logic of the mod to perform batch saves limited at a 1 per second rate instead of saving after each time of becoming dirty. The data saving was already performed on a separate thread, so this is won't affect FPS, but rather improve drive lifetime as it will result in less writes due to batching. It should also redue background I/O activity.
Technical changes
- Updated the bundled Elementa version from 762 to 774, and UniversalCraft version from 517 to 536.
- The mod is now compiled using JDK 27, whilst still compiling to target JDK 25.

- Made it possible to unregister() the Register.onChatMessageCancelable hooks, also added a noFormatting argument to remove formatting codes before matching.
- Added PlaySoundEvent.
- Improved documentation around DianaMobDeathEvent incompatibilities and BurrowDugEvent behaviour.
- The Rare Mob Highlight logic now uses the RenderChest library while on MC 26.2 which replaces the line-of-sight with actual depth-checked draw. The Highlight logic has also been enhanced to highlight mobs even after a missed EntityLoadEvent, and has been enhanced to support all LivingEntities rather than only Player entities. This makes it work with for example, Mannequins, if Hypixel ever decides switch NPC entities into Mannequins. This was done as part of an effort to enhance SBO compatibility with the WIP RitualPractice plugin.
- Enhanced the King Hits left logic in Diana Mob HP Overlay to prevent false values and color codes getting in the way during parsing, and also implemented back support for the legacy mythological mob type icon character. This again enhances compatibility with the practice plugin.
- Refactored the SboDataObject code.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
