Please be aware that this mod is currently in its early Alpha stage (Version 0.2):

• Visual Overhaul: All current particle layouts and visual effects are temporary placeholders. They will be completely overhauled with high-quality custom renders and animations in future updates.
• Alpha Spell Pool: The current list of available spells is still basic for technical testing. A massive expansion is already planned.
• Interface Upgrades: The current spell selection mechanic is basic. A significantly more comfortable, customizable, and intuitive HUD and Grimoire management system is currently under active development.

Mahou Isekai is a Mahou Tsukai addon inspired by Isekai anime that completely overhauls the standard scroll mechanics in favor of an RPG-style magic progression system. Instead of cluttering your inventory with physical scroll items, all unlocked magic is managed through a dedicated client HUD and materialized directly into your hands when needed.

Features

Awakening System & Unique Destiny

• The Awakening Ritual: To unlock your magical potential, take any source of damage in Survival mode, look directly down at the ground, and press M. This initiates a 5-second cinematic ritual featuring a soul-fire vortex, acoustic heartbeats, and a terminal lightning strike.
• Unique Destiny System: Players no longer have access to all spells at once. Upon awakening, you permanently secure a random magic deck depending on your rolled potential tier:
  • Commoner: 2 random spells.
  • Novice / Gifted / Adventurer: 3 random spells.
  • Adept / Master / High Mage: 4 random spells.
  • Archmage: 5 random spells.
  • The Chosen One (Hero): Instantly grants 60% of all currently available spells in the mod.
• Hidden Potential Mechanic: Spells are drawn randomly from the entire database. A lower-tier player can roll an endgame spell right away, but will not be able to cast it until reaching its level requirement.
• XP-Linked Progression: Your maximum mana scales directly with your current XP level. Additionally, gaining every +15 vanilla levels after awakening automatically unlocks a new random spell.
• Restoration: Passive mana regeneration is disabled. Instead, your mana pool fully refills every morning at sunrise or upon sleeping in a bed.

Visuals & Sound

• Fate Beams: The awakening ritual concludes with a massive beam of light. Its color represents your potential tier: Gray for Common, Blue for Epic, Red for Mythic, and Yellow for Legendary.
• Rarity Sounds: Custom audio cues play upon unlocking new spells, depending on their rarity tier.

Graphical User Interface (HUD)

• Dynamic Magic Overlay: A HUD element in the bottom-left corner tracks your active spell, draws accurate item-stack renders dynamically from registry IDs, displays the current slot index (e.g., [1/3]), and shifts its border colors depending on your magic tier.
• Spell Selection: Use the Z key to cycle through your unlocked magic deck.
• Real-time Cooldowns: Visual ticking cooldown clocks are displayed directly over the HUD, combined with player level restriction locks.

Casting & Combat

• Direct Casting: Pressing or holding R instantly materializes the selected scroll or weapon into your off-hand. For staffs or shields, hold R and use Right-Click.
• Dimensional Escape: Pressing R while inside your own Reality Marble tears space open, teleporting you safely back to your Overworld coordinate baseline.

How to Start

1. Awaken Magic: Take damage, look down at the ground, and press M to begin the ritual.
2. Select Spell: Use the Z key to switch between your unlocked deck abilities.
3. Cast: Press R for regular scrolls. Hold R and Right-Click for staffs or shields.
4. Refill Mana: Sleep in a bed or wait until sunrise for a full mana restoration.
5. Unlock New Magic: Earn +15 vanilla levels after your awakening to automatically receive another random spell.
