Introduction

ECJEC is a minimalist plugin for Minecraft 1.12.2 Spigot / Paper servers.
It does just one thing: allows ender chests to be mined without the Silk Touch enchantment — breaking an ender chest drops the ender chest itself, not obsidian.

Features

  • ✅ Breaking an ender chest with any tool (or even bare hands) drops an ender chest (instead of 8 obsidian)

Installation

  1. Download ECJEC.jar
  2. Put the file into your server's plugins/ folder
  3. Restart the server
  4. Done! Now try breaking an ender chest

Works on Spigot 1.12.2 or Paper 1.12.2 servers.

Usage

No commands or permissions required.
The plugin takes effect automatically after installation: whenever a player breaks an ender chest, the dropped item will always be an ender chest.

Configuration

This plugin has no configuration file.
If you want to toggle the feature on/off… just disable or delete the plugin (the author was too lazy to write a config).

Author's Note

This is my first attempt at developing a Bukkit plugin. The features are embarrassingly simple, and the code might be a mess — but it works.
If you encounter any BUG (like an ender chest disappearing or dropping a diamond block — unlikely), please join the QQ group printed in the server log to report it.

Since this is a closed-source plugin, you can't send a PR, so just yell at me in the group.

An ender chest doesn't need Silk Touch — because it's already an ender chest.
