Simple Hostile Despawn
In vanilla Minecraft, hostile mobs that pick up items or enter boats/minecarts become persistent, accumulating over time and causing server lag.
Simple Hostile Despawn restores natural despawning for these mobs. When a mob with picked-up loot despawns, its collected items are safely dropped onto the ground.
Game Rules
Manage all behavior on the fly via native /gamerule commands:
| Rule | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
despawn_with_item |
true |
Allows mobs that picked up items to despawn normally. |
despawn_when_passenger |
true |
Allows mobs riding boats or minecarts to despawn normally. |
despawn_when_named |
false |
When true, custom-named mobs will despawn. |
despawn_named_in_peaceful |
false |
When true, custom-named mobs will despawn in Peaceful mode (Vanilla behaviour). |
Requirements
