Find out which client mods a player is really running. Tovek Check opens a hidden anvil screen for the player and checks how their game shows certain translation and keybind names. This shows mods that add their own keys. Part of the free Tovek plugins by Toprak Eker.
Based on CheckHacks by Branduzzo (MIT).
Features
- Scans with hidden anvil screens. No files or client mod needed on the player's side.
- Finds mods by keybind or translation key. The default config checks Meteor Client, Wurst, Baritone and Freecam.
- Add your own mods in
config.yml: a name, a key and a mode (KEYBINDorTRANSLATE). - Alerts go to the console and to staff with
tovekcheck.alerts(and operators). You can change the alert text. - You can change the scan speed:
scan.timeout-ticks(default 10) andscan.gap-ticks(default 2). - Only one scan per player at a time. It cleans up when a player leaves.
- All messages can be changed.

Requirements
- Paper 1.21.11 only. The plugin uses Minecraft's internal server code, so other versions do not work.
- Java 21 or newer
- No other plugins needed
Installation
- Put the jar in
plugins. - Start the server to create
plugins/TovekCheck/config.yml. - Look at the
modslist, then run/modcheck <player>.
A detection means the player's game knew a certain key. Treat it as a strong hint, not as proof on its own.
