Details
CombatKeepInventory is a lightweight combat tagging and inventory protection plugin for Bukkit-based Minecraft servers.
It changes the behavior of keepInventory during PvP deaths: players can keep their inventory when they die from normal PvE or environmental causes while still dropping their inventory when killed by another player.
CombatKeepInventory is designed for survival, SMP, PvP and network servers that want more precise control over death and inventory behavior without replacing Minecraft's normal death system.
Features
- PvP combat tagging
- Configurable combat duration
- Player-kill inventory drop
- PvE/environmental inventory protection
- Works alongside the vanilla keepInventory gamerule
- Optional WorldGuard integration
- Optional PvPManager integration
- Combat logout handling
- Bypass permissions
- Disabled-world support
- Configurable messages
- Reload and information commands
- Core API for integrations
- Platform detection and capability information
How it works
When a player enters combat, CombatKeepInventory creates a combat session and tracks the relevant combat state.
If the player is killed by another player, the plugin can force the inventory to drop even when keepInventory is enabled.
Deaths caused by mobs, the environment or other non-player causes can continue to follow the configured inventory policy.
