Once, a legendary warrior was clad in armor of purest, shining steel and wielded a blade of brilliant light. They were a beacon of hope against the shadows. But from the blackest depth of space, a horror came—the Cosmic Blight. It did not seek to kill, but to dominate. It found the warrior.

The alien parasite, a sentient void matter, did not consume the warrior’s armor; it fused with it, rewriting its very essence at a molecular level. The shining steel became a matte, abyssal black, a surface that drinks light. Pulsing, crystalline structures grew within the metal, and alien, glowing runes etched themselves across the chestplate. This armor isn't worn; it is bound, acting as a conduit for the alien force to possess its host, twisting their will until they are an mindless engine of the Blight. It is corrupted beyond all recovery, an eternal prison.

The warrior’s companion, a pure elemental spirit of devotion and justice, was bound to the great blade. This spirit was a source of endless power. When the void consumed the warrior, the blade fought to the very end, but was overcome and warped into the same dark, fractured form. Yet, the spirit within was not broken. As the warrior is driven to inflict suffering, the spirit in the sword is overwhelmed with despair. From the broken segments of the blade, where the original brilliant light once pulsed, now flows a continuous, shimmering stream of crystal-clear tears.
