Changes
- Major performance overhaul (all versions): wake texturing is ~15x faster and GPU texture uploads now only happen when a wake actually changes instead of every frame, drastically reducing stutter on low-end hardware
- Off-screen wakes no longer cost any texturing or upload time
- Fixed a texture leak that slowly degraded performance over long play sessions
- Fishing bobbers now make a small splash when they land in water (configurable, can be turned off)
- Fixed a phantom block-sized wake that appeared near stationary boats (and at world spawn) after sitting still for a while, building up into flickering noise that never faded
- Wakes from entities that stop moving now fade out properly instead of staying stuck at full opacity
- Fixed wakes being misaligned by one pixel in negative coordinates
Optional dependencies
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
