Hotbar Pockets

Formerly Inventory Max. From 2.0.0 it keeps only the pockets. The elytra slot, the totem slot and Mend Anywhere are coming back later as their own mods.

Nine hotbar slots fill up fast. Hotbar Pockets puts up to three extra slots behind each hotbar slot, and a key rotates them into your hand, so one hotbar slot holds four items without taking any room in your inventory.

Features

Pockets

Open your inventory and hover a hotbar slot. Its pockets show as a row above it, with a + button to add one, up to three, and a − button to remove the top one. A removed pocket's item goes into your inventory, or drops if there's no room.

Cycling

Press the Right or Left arrow to rotate the selected hotbar slot through its pockets, one step each way. With your inventory open, the keys rotate the column your mouse is over. You can change both keys in Controls, under Hotbar Pockets.

Mini hotbar

A small hotbar beside the held slot shows the items in rotation and slides with each press. You can turn it off.

Settings

With Inventory Plus installed, Hotbar Pockets has a Pockets tab in Inventory Plus's settings menu. It has the on and off switch, "Beside the hotbar" (Mini hotbar or Off), the two keys, and "Show the Pockets button", which adds a Pockets switch to the column beside your inventory. Ctrl-click (Cmd on a Mac) the + or − button to open the tab. Turning Pockets off hides every pocket and stops the keys, and your items stay in their pockets.

Without Inventory Plus there's no settings menu and the defaults apply. The keys are still in Controls. (Update coming soon to fix this)

With Inventory Plus

Restock takes from your pockets too. Break a pickaxe with a spare in one of that slot's pockets and the spare rotates into your hand. Reach settings allow you to decide how items move in and out of pockets for different inventory operations.

Requirements

• MenuKit 7.1.0 or newer, below 8.0.0
• SlotKit 1.1.0 or newer, below 2.0.0
• Fabric API
• Optional: Inventory Plus 3.0.0 or newer. Older versions can't be installed alongside it.

Compatibility

Minecraft 26.3 with Fabric. Install it on both client and server. A server with Hotbar Pockets turns away players who don't have it, and tells them which mod to install. Other mods that list slot groups show all the pockets as one entry called Pockets. Items in pockets don't mend from XP.
