Every block you place is installed per chunk and has settings in the game menu. Inspired by the OmniChunk mod. You can enable Spawners (these can cause significant lag on low-end devices because mobs will spawn in all loaded chunks, so they are disabled by default) and storage (there is a duplication bug, so it is disabled by default).
