GrowthTools

GrowthTools is a customizable progression and ability system for Minecraft Paper servers.

Instead of replacing your tools as you progress, GrowthTools allows individual tools to gain experience, level up, and unlock new abilities as they are used.

Features

  • Per-tool Level and EXP progression
  • Unique UUID for every GrowthTool
  • Pickaxe, Axe, Shovel, Hoe, Fishing Rod, and Bow support
  • Block breaking, fishing, and bow combat EXP
  • Persistent tool data using PDC
  • Configurable progression and EXP values

Abilities

  • Vein Miner — Mine connected ore veins at once
  • 3x3 Area Break — Break a 3x3 area while mining
  • Auto Smelt — Automatically smelt supported block drops
  • Experience Boost — Increase GrowthTools EXP gain

Abilities unlock as your tool levels up.

Vein Miner and Area Break can also work together with Auto Smelt.

Safety & Anti-Farming

GrowthTools includes several protections designed for survival servers:

  • Player-placed blocks do not grant mining EXP
  • Placed-block tracking persists across server restarts
  • Additional blocks broken by abilities respect protection plugins
  • Duplicate GrowthTool UUID detection
  • SQLite-backed tool registry
  • Administrative repair and UUID regeneration tools

Paper 1.21.11 has received player gameplay QA.

Alpha Notice

GrowthTools is currently in alpha.

Core gameplay has been tested on a real Paper server, but some optional integration edge cases may still be untested.
