Waylite has received its biggest overhaul yet.

The interface has been completely redesigned, waypoint rendering has been rebuilt, multiple new display modes have been added, overlapping markers are handled intelligently, customization has been massively expanded, and much more.

Waylite is a lightweight client-side waypoint mod for players who want powerful navigation without installing a full minimap or world map.

The old interface is gone.

Waylite now comes with a fully redesigned GUI built to make managing your waypoints faster, cleaner and easier.

The new waypoint manager includes:

Creating and editing waypoints now has its own redesigned interface.

🎨 Three waypoint display modes

Waylite no longer forces you into a single visual style.

You can choose between three completely different ways of displaying your waypoints.

1️⃣ Classic

The familiar world-space waypoint layout.

Icons, names and distances are displayed directly above their locations in the world.

Perfect if you prefer traditional waypoint markers that stay directly connected to their position.

2️⃣ Floating Tag

A cleaner, compact style designed to keep waypoint information readable without taking over your screen.

Floating Tags can use waypoint colors, backgrounds, outlines and configurable transparency to create a much more polished HUD-like appearance.

3️⃣ Compass

Want navigation without waypoint labels covering the entire world?

Use the Compass layout.

Waypoints are placed on a horizontal compass based on their direction relative to you.

Look toward a waypoint to focus it and display additional information.

🧹 Smart overlap handling

A lot of waypoint mods become difficult to read as soon as several markers appear in the same area.

Waylite handles that automatically.

Instead of allowing overlapping waypoints to turn your screen into a wall of text, nearby markers can be grouped together.

When you look toward the group, Waylite can expand it and show the individual waypoints inside.

This works with Waylite's different display styles, including the Compass system.

Waylite is designed to let you decide how your navigation should look.

The new settings interface gives you much more control over waypoint rendering and the UI.

You shouldn't have to close the settings menu every time you change a slider.

Waylite includes a Live Preview directly inside the settings screen.

Change your waypoint style, size, backgrounds, opacity or other visual options and immediately see how the result will look.

☠️ Death Waypoints

Never lose the location of your items again.

Waylite can automatically create a waypoint when you die, allowing you to quickly navigate back to your death location.

The feature can be enabled or disabled from the waypoint settings.

🌈 Iris & shader support

Waylite is designed to work properly while using Iris and shaders.

Waypoint markers remain clearly visible while playing with shader packs, allowing you to keep your preferred visual setup without giving up navigation.

🌍 English & Polish

Waylite currently includes full interface support for:

The language can follow Minecraft automatically or be selected independently in Waylite's settings.

Waylite also provides global waypoint options such as:

Maximum render distance
Choose how far away waypoints should remain visible — including an unlimited option.

Death Waypoints
Automatically save your death location.

Marker visibility
Control which parts of waypoint information are shown.

⚡ Lightweight by design

Waylite has become much more powerful, but its original idea has not changed.

It isn't trying to become another giant mapping mod.

There is still:

No minimap.
No world map.
No unnecessary navigation systems.

Waylite focuses entirely on giving you great waypoints with as little clutter as possible.

Waylite will continue to evolve.

More settings, customization options and other improvements may be added in future updates as the mod develops.

I also plan to create an official Waylite Discord server in the future.
