Better Minecraft is a visual and quality-of-life overhaul built around Sodium and Iris. The base pack ships with two shaders — Complementary Reimagined and MakeUp UltraFast — for a proper visual upgrade, plus Indium and Continuity so connected textures and shader-format resource packs work correctly on top of Sodium.

On the performance side: Sodium, Sodium Extra, Lithium, FerriteCore, EntityCulling, and Dynamic FPS keep frame rates high and memory usage low, even with two shaderpacks bundled.

A long list of quality-of-life mods rounds out the experience: a minimap (Xaero's), a better F3 screen, chat with player heads, shulker box tooltips, a zoom key, hunger and saturation info (AppleSkin), smoother mouse-wheel item sorting, in-game mod updates (Resourcify), and a searchable inventory and recipe book. Simple Voice Chat adds proximity voice chat for playing with friends.

Visually, the pack adds waving capes, 3D hands and armor, layered skins, dynamic item lighting, better rain particles, and cave echo through Sound Physics Remastered — small touches that make the world feel more alive without adding any new content.

This is not a content-expansion pack — there are no new biomes, mobs, structures, or blocks. It's vanilla Minecraft, made to look and feel better and run faster.
