Happy Ghast Flight Speed Harness

A small vanilla-friendly data pack that lets you enchant the Happy Ghast harness with a new Flying Speed enchantment, straight from the enchanting table — no commands, no mods required.

Features

  • New enchantment Flying Speed I-III, applies to all 16 harness colors
  • Fully obtainable through the enchanting table (bookshelves affect it like any vanilla enchant)
  • Each level increases the Happy Ghast's flying speed attribute while the harness is worn
  • Fixes the harness's missing enchantable component so it actually shows up in the enchanting table (all 16 craft + dye recipes updated)

How to get it

  1. Craft or dye a harness after installing the pack (existing harnesses crafted before installing won't have the fix — see below)
  2. Place it in an enchanting table with bookshelves around it, like any other gear
  3. Higher levels require more bookshelves / higher enchant levels, same as vanilla

Fixing an already-existing harness

If you already have a harness from before installing the pack, run this once, holding the harness in your hotbar slot 1: /item modify entity @s hotbar.0 flyharness:fix_harness
