Details
The overworld, reforged as endless mountains. Towering snow-capped peaks, plunging chasm valleys, cliff-face waterfalls — the whole world becomes dramatic high-relief terrain instead of gentle plains. Built on Isekai API.
What it does
Mountain World turns the overworld into all-mountain terrain — peaks reaching Y 280+, valleys cut down to Y 80, rugged relief everywhere. Every vanilla biome, ore, structure, and mob is remapped into the mountain volume by Isekai API, so it still feels like Minecraft — just gone vertical.
Features
- All-mountain overworld — towering peaks, deep valleys, cliffs and waterfalls across the whole world.
- Altitude-aware structures — lowland villages settle in the valleys (Y 80-140); snowy villages perch high on the slopes (Y 200-280); strongholds stay deep underground.
- Vanilla content preserved — ores, structures, and mobs are remapped into the mountain terrain (no empty worlds).
- Ocean cleanup — ocean monuments, shipwrecks, and ruins are excluded so the peaks stay clean.
Requires
Isekai API (required) — Mountain World is a datapack-style worldshape built entirely on Isekai's worldgen primitives.
Compatibility
Coexists with TerraBlender, YUNG's structure mods, map mods (Journeymap etc.), and dimension mods like Nullscape. Mutually exclusive with other overworld-overhaul mods (Terralith, William Wythers') — only one mod can own the overworld; no crash, last-loaded wins.
