Muddy Waters
Since the introduction of Mud blocks, it seemed strange to have dirt under water. Rather than change the world gen, Muddy Waters converts dirt blocks to Mud when touched by a water block for lobg enough.
Over time, dirt blocks under or next to a water source or flowing water, will slowly convert to mud. Dirt blocks with mud blocks next to them will convert a little faster, giving it the appearence of spreading patches as the water seeps into the dirt. This way it looks a bit more organic, instead of an entire waterlogged area flipping at once.
Features
-
Source water converts dirt to mud after a 5 min (6000 tick) delay.
-
Flowing water takes longer to convert dirt beneath it.
-
Mud dirtblocks adjacent to mud convert quicker, providing a more natural appearence.
-
'Shore line' grass blocks are converted into coarse dirt.
- This is a work in progress. The shore line identification isnt perfect yet. Also, I want different blocks for different biomes.
-
Only works in generated loaded chunks. No changes to world generation.
-
If you remove water above a dirt block before it converts, the conversion is cancelled.
-
