Let's Troll
One command. One menu. Everything else is chaos.
No wiki to memorize, no thirty subcommands to type. /troll opens a menu, you click a player,
you pick a prank. That's the whole learning curve.
Runs on Paper and Fabric from the same codebase.
What's inside
๐ป Ghost mode
Vanish properly, not halfway. You're gone from the tab list, from /list, from the server ping,
your chat and death messages disappear, mobs forget you exist, and you take no damage. Sprint
while flying and you slip straight through walls.
๐ญ Fake players
Drop a nameless copy of someone right in front of them. They see it. Nobody else does. Any skin you want โ a nickname, a profile link, a texture hash. Set the lifetime to a second and a half and it becomes a jumpscare.
โ๏ธ Chained together
Link two players and watch the friendship end. They share one inventory, one health bar, one hunger bar โ and one death. Between them hangs a real chain, built from actual chain blocks that sag when they're close and snap taut when they pull apart.
Pick how the leash behaves:
| Mode | Feel |
|---|---|
| Rigid | Hits the end like a wall |
| Elastic | Pulls back smoothly the further they stray |
| Rubber | Winds up, then slingshots them into each other |
Momentum carries through the chain, so a sprinting player genuinely drags the other one along.
๐ฒ 26 automatic events
Turn it on and the server starts trolling itself. Every few minutes a countdown hits the screen, a slot-machine roll spins through the possibilities, and one lands:
Jumpscare ยท fake lag ยท fake creeper ยท fall to bedrock ยท chunk wipe ยท inventory scramble ยท inventory swap ยท player swap ยท random teleport ยท gather everyone ยท scatter everyone ยท launch up ยท freeze ยท spin ยท glowing ยท anonymous ยท speed chaos ยท storm and night ยท mob crowd ยท real explosion ยท firework show ยท item rain ยท free gift ยท full heal ยท fake chat ยท random effects
A boss bar counts down to the next one โ for everyone, for admins only, or not at all.
Anyone with letstroll.immune never gets picked.
๐ก Fake lag
Rubberband someone at ten levels of severity and put a matching fake ping in the tab list, so it
looks exactly like their connection is dying. Works with PlaceholderAPI, so %player_ping% lies too.
๐ฏ Item bindings
Bind any prank to the item in your hand. Right-click a player with it and it fires. No menu, no command โ just walk up and ruin someone's day.
๐ซฅ Stay invisible
Three levels of hiding, because half the fun is nobody knowing where it came from:
- Filter
/pluginsand/versionfor anyone without admin - Strip the commands out of tab completion
- Or drop the plugin from the server's plugin list entirely, so it isn't there at all
Commands
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/troll |
Opens the menu โ everything lives here |
/troll modules |
Lists what's loaded |
/troll reload |
Reloads the config |
/ghost [on|off|<player>] |
Ghost mode without the menu |
Every permission defaults to operators. Nothing is exposed to normal players unless you say so.
Making it yours
One config.yml, not a folder full of them. Every icon in the menu is swappable through
heads.yml โ texture hashes, base64 values, plain items or someone's actual skin. Chain length,
link block, sag, thickness, event interval, lag strength, ghost behaviour: all of it is a config
key or a click in the settings menu.
PlaceholderAPI is supported throughout, so placeholders resolve inside menus and messages.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.11
- Java 21
- Paper (or a fork) โ or Fabric with Fabric API
- PlaceholderAPI optional
Use it on people who'll laugh about it afterwards.
