Summary
A small mod focused on adding cool and unique nextbots while fitting the style of the game and not interfering too much with the main game.
The mod is in a very early state and alot of the content I want and plan to add isn't in the mod yet.
How to find the new content
Some nextbots will be craftable but I plan to also have them spawn in naturally once I add what I have planned.
Nextbots
Yes, they actually face your camera ingame, it was truly a feat for me to pull off.
There are only 2 in the mod currently but I plan to add more in the near future.
Different nextbots will have different stats, some will be faster, others will do more damage, and some will be really hard to kill, but there will be rewards for doing so.
Extras
This is my first time releasing one of my mods to the public, so it will likely be very flawed and unpolished.
Future Plans / Roadmap
Dimensions / Locations
I plan to add dimensions where the nextbots are meant to be encountered, and I plan on having a reward and a reason to go there, I just haven't figured out what I want it to be yet.
Below are some potential areas that may be added into the mod but aren't actually planned to unless it says otherwise.
The Graveyard
It would be a dimension where you encounter Halloween inspiered nextbots and bulding blocks.
The Chamber (Planned)
A trial chamber themed level, the whole dimension would likely be one big structure.
This is also where the Ominous Creeper is meant to be naturally encountered.

I wasn't really happy with how the design looked so right before uploading the first mod version to modrinth, I remade it into what it is now.
Origins
The start of the mod
This mod originally started out as a bedrock addon which was scrapped a long time ago, then I had planned to turn it into it's own fangame, which was also scrapped.
After I had decided to scrap the project, that was it for a while. Fast forward to me starting a new hardcore world with my cousin and I had mentioned that I wanted to get into making my own java mods. He had mention the nextbot addon that I had made a while back and said that it was really fun and that I should make that into a java mod.
So I turned it into this, and I showed them what I have so far and they actually seem excited to get to play the mod for themselves.
The Origins of the Ominous Creeper
The ominous creeper was actually a nextbot that appeared in the original addon, and was planned to be the first added into the scrapped fangame.
It was always going to be a part of the project.
The origin of the design was me messing around with the pallete of the ominous bottle, which I eventually turned into an Ominous Creeper skin, then the nextbot. One of the only images I still have of the original skin is below. Sadly, I don't have any images of the original nextbot design.

This one is way newer, it was made as a test nextbot for the mod, there originally wasn't much thought put into it.
