🧭 Project Overview: Aeronautics Saved The World
Most Modpacks treat the sky as a ceiling. Aeronautics Saved The World treats it as the ultimate engineering playground.
This pack isn't just a collection of random performance mods thrown together with Create; it is a meticulously tailored, highly technical environment built specifically to support the massive physics engines of Create Aeronautics and Valkyrien Skies.
Our goal is simple: to make building, piloting, and automated weaponizing of massive airships a flawless, high-FPS experience without melting your computer.
⚙️ The Core Philosophy
When you combine world-scale moving physics grids with complex automated factories, standard Minecraft rendering completely chokes. This pack solves that. We’ve stripped away redundant visual bloat and focused heavily on a unified rendering pipeline (Sodium + Veil + Sable) that safely communicates with Create’s stress mechanics and Valkyrien’s sub-world assemblies.
Whether you are designing a compact fighter jet, a fully functional cargo carrier, or a floating fortress packed with automated assembly lines, this environment ensures that your physics blocks render smoothly and your chunks load ahead of your engines.
🛠️ What’s Under the Hood?
Instead of bloating your instance, every included mod has been selected based on how well it plays with moving physical structures:
The Physics & Aero Suite: Powered by Create Aeronautics, Sable, and Veil. This provides the core lift-and-drag physics, assembly tools, and custom vertex rendering required to make moving blocks feel real and smooth.
The Render Pipeline: Built strictly around a highly-compatible Sodium branch. We've purposely avoided aggressive culling mods that break moving airships, opting instead for clean backend chunk compilers (ModernFix, FerriteCore, and CCME) to keep your RAM usage minimal and garbage collection spikes low.
Aviation Utilities & QoL: Survival in the skies requires proper instrumentation. The pack integrates Xaero’s Maps for high-altitude navigation, JEI for complex mechanical recipes, and core networking optimizers (Krypton) to ensure that airship sync doesn't cause rubberbanding on local servers.
Immersive Frameworks: Features native integration for Entity Model/Texture Features (EMF/ETF) and advanced shader support, allowing you to fly through volumetric clouds and cinematic horizons without breaking the physical block grids.
🚀 Performance & Memory Advice
Because this pack handles complex multi-entity physics calculations alongside standard Minecraft logic, it utilizes ZGC (Z Garbage Collector) optimization out of the box.
For the absolute best experience with heavy automation and multiple airships rendered simultaneously, we highly recommend allocating 16GB of RAM and ensuring your runtime is locked to Java 21.
