Invisible Mafia

A Paper 1.21.11 plugin inspired by Unstable SMP.

Invisible Mafia adds a hidden faction to your server — the Mafia. Its members become invisible, receive unique tools to eliminate targets, and complete secret tasks. Everyone else can place a bounty on any player's head — but only a mafia member can claim it.

✨ Features

🎣 Killer Rods

  • /mafia rod kill — gives a fishing rod that teleports a hooked player to Y -80.
  • /mafia rod fake_kill <x> <y> <z> — gives a fishing rod that teleports the victim to the specified coordinates and broadcasts a chat message: <name> fell out from the world.
  • Rods only work on Mafia members. Kill Rod does not affect the Leader; Fake Kill does.

🪙 Undying Totem

  • /mafia totem <player|@a> — places a totem in the selected player's offhand that cannot be dropped, moved, or swapped by any means.
  • When the totem activates, the player is teleported to Y -80.

🕵️ Invisibility

  • /mafia join <player|@a> — adds selected players to the Mafia and grants 6 minutes of invisibility.
  • /mafia leave <player|@a> — removes the Mafia status.
  • /mafia joinradius <radius> — adds every player within a radius to the Mafia.
  • When the invisibility effect expires, the player is teleported to Y -80. Extending the effect with a potion keeps them alive.
  • Plot armor protects against this teleport.
  • The Mafia Leader does not get teleported when invisibility ends.

🏆 Bounty

  • /mafia bounty put <player> — opens a GUI offering altar where you can place any items as a reward.
  • /mafia bounty list — shows all active bounties along with their contents.
  • Only a mafioso can claim the reward on a kill (can be switched in settings so anyone can claim it).
  • Anyone can place a bounty.

📜 Mafia Tasks

  • /mafia task list — opens a GUI with the task list. The text is visible only to Mafia members; others see ???.
  • /mafia task create <text> — creates a task (operator only). The task is broadcast to all mafiosi in chat.
  • /mafia task delete <id> — deletes a task.

🐐 Goat Horn

  • /mafia horn <player|@a> — gives a goat horn with the "ponder" sound.
  • Using it starts a hidden 6-second timer, after which the user is teleported to Y -80.
  • Only Mafia members can use the horn.

🛡️ Plot Armor

  • /mafia plot_armor <player> on|off — the player's health can never drop below half a heart.
  • Also protects against the teleport triggered by invisibility ending.

👑 Mafia Leader

  • /mafia leader <player> — sets the Mafia Leader. Calling it again on the same player removes the status.
  • There is only one Leader at a time.
  • Displayed in the tab list and chat with a custom [Leader] prefix and configurable color.
  • The Leader does not have to stay invisible, is not teleported when invisibility ends, and Kill Rod does not affect them (Fake Kill still does).
  • The Leader does not lose Mafia status on death.

⚙️ Settings

  • /mafia settings — opens a GUI with settings:
    • Who can claim bounties (Mafia only / everyone).
    • Invisibility duration.
    • Horn delay.
    • Leader prefix color.

🎮 Inspiration

This plugin is inspired by Unstable SMP — a series of Minecraft servers where players form hidden factions, eliminate targets through trickery, and fight for power. Invisible Mafia is not an official plugin of Unstable SMP and is not affiliated with its creators.

📦 Installation

  1. Download the .jar file.
  2. Place it in the plugins/ folder on your Paper 1.21.11 server.
  3. Restart the server.
  4. Configure config.yml to fit your server (or use /mafia settings).
