Colorful Diamonds is a pretty simple mod: it lets you dye diamonds with any of Minecraft's 16 dyes, then use those colored diamonds to make matching blocks, armor, tools, and weapons.
The colored gear is meant to work just like normal diamond gear, so this is mostly about giving you more ways to organize your stuff, decorate, or just use whatever color you like most without changing the normal diamond progression.
Features
- All 16 Minecraft dye colors
- Colored diamonds
- Colored diamond blocks
- Full armor sets for every color
- Swords, pickaxes, axes, shovels, and hoes for every color
- Diamond-level stats and durability
- Colored diamond gear can still be upgraded into Netherite
- Colored diamonds can be turned back into normal diamonds with a water bucket
- Support for Fabric, Forge, and Quilt
How It Works
Just combine a diamond with a dye to make a colored diamond.
From there, you can use colored diamonds in the same kinds of recipes you would normally use diamonds for. That means you can make full matching gear sets or mix colors together depending on what you want each set for.
If you ever want the normal diamond back, combine a colored diamond with a water bucket to wash the color off.
Colored diamond tools and armor also still work with Netherite upgrading, so using them does not lock you out of normal progression.
Why Use Different Colors?
Honestly, whatever reason you want.
You could use red gear for the Nether, blue gear for exploration, green gear for building, or just make a full set in your favorite color. The blocks also give you a bunch of extra options for decoration without adding a totally separate material or progression system.
The main goal is just to make diamonds a little more customizable while still keeping everything familiar.
