Immerse yourself in a completely new visual experience. The RecPulse mod is being developed specifically for our upcoming horror mod to recreate a truly terrifying atmosphere. It brings the aesthetics of realistic bodycam projects straight into the game, drastically changing how you perceive gameplay. It features a stylized lens effect, a dynamic camera, a realistic flashlight, and a Lidar system.

Features:

  • Bodycam Effect: Realistic distortion and a chest-mounted camera interface.
  • Camera Shake: Dynamic camera movements that add weight and tension to your every step.
  • Tactical Flashlight: A fully functional directional light source for exploring the darkest corners.
  • Realistic Lidar: Advanced mechanics for scanning your environment in real-time.

Keybinds for using the Flashlight or the Lidar system:

  • Flashlight - "F" key
  • Lidar - "L" key

The mod also adds 4 commands:

  • /bodycam_on - turn on the bodycam effect
  • /bodycam_off - turn off the bodycam effect
  • /glitch_effect_on {player_name} - play a glitch effect on the player's screen for 5 sec
  • /glitch_effect_off {player_name} - remove the glitch effect from the player's screen

Initially, this project was created as a key add-on for our horror mod [The mod's name will appear here after its release], but it is completely standalone! You can easily use it in your regular survival world or add it to any of your modpacks for an instant atmosphere upgrade. :D

Redistribution of this mod to other platforms without the owner's permission is prohibited!

Currently, RecPulse is a Modrinth-exclusive mod.

Please report any bugs you find to our Discord server.

When adding RecPulse to your modpack, please do not forget to include the mod's name and author in the credits section.

This project uses Veil.

Do not use Sodium or Iris. In the current version of the mod, they are buggy and do not always work correctly, but I plan to adapt the mod for them in the future so you can use your own shaders.

There will be no link to the open-source GitHub repository for now, until the release of the main horror mod.

This mod is currently in beta testing prior to the release of the main horror mod and may contain many bugs!
