Modrinth Direct replaces the ModMenu Mods button with a fully functional in-game mod browser backed by the official Modrinth API. Find the mod you need, click Install, restart — done. No browser, no launcher switching, no manual file management.

🔍 In-game search Type any query into the search bar and get live results straight from the Modrinth library, filtered for Fabric 1.21.11.

📦 One-click installation Hit Install on any mod card to download the .jar directly into your mods/ folder. Modrinth Direct takes care of the file naming and placement automatically.

🔗 Automatic dependency resolution Required dependencies declared by the mod are detected and downloaded alongside the main mod — so you don't have to chase them down manually.

🗂️ Installed tab A dedicated tab lists everything you've installed through Modrinth Direct, so you always know what came from where.

🍞 Toast notifications Unobtrusive in-game toasts keep you informed: downloading, installed successfully, or error — without interrupting your workflow.

📋 Requirements

This mod requires the following to be installed:

  • Fabric Loader >= 0.19.2
  • Fabric API
  • Fabric Language Kotlin
  • oωo-lib >= 0.13.0
  • ModMenu >= 17.0.0
  • Java 21 or newer
  • Minecraft 1.21.11

🚀 How to use

  1. Install all required dependencies listed above.
  2. Drop the Modrinth Direct .jar into your mods/ folder.
  3. Launch Minecraft 1.21.11 with Fabric.
  4. Click Mods on the title screen — the Modrinth browser opens.
  5. Search for a mod, select it, and click Install.
  6. Restart the game when you're ready to load the new mods.

🔧 Technical notes

  • Modrinth Direct is client-side only. It does not need to be installed on a server.
  • Installed mod metadata is stored in mods/.modrinth-direct/installed-mods.json.
  • The mod hooks into the ModMenu button via a Mixin, so ModMenu must be present.
  • Internet access is required for search and downloads.
