Player Peak Placeholder
Offer your community a fun way to mark the progress of your server. Player Peak Placeholder tracks your server’s all-time record for simultaneously online players and makes it available through a PlaceholderAPI placeholder. Showcase your server record to players in a scoreboard, tab list, hologram, or any other plugin that supports PlaceholderAPI with Player Peak Placeholder.
Features
-
The plugin notes the number of players that are online at start up, and when a player joins. When this current online number is higher than the previous record, it is saved.
-
The peak is recorded in the plugin's config.yml. So a server restart will not clear the record.
-
PlaceholderAPI integration - Use %playerpeak_max% in supported plugins to see the maximum amount of players your server has had simultaneously online.
-
Works without PlaceholderAPI: Player Peak Tracking/Saving is still enabled if PlaceholderAPI is not installed. Placeholder display will require PlaceholderAPI.
-
Deals with an invalid peak value - If peak-players is anything but a non-negative whole number, the plugin will report an error and run on a peak of 0.
Installation
- Install the plugin on your Paper server.
- Install PlaceholderAPI if you want to use the placeholder.
- Restart the server.
- Add %playerpeak_max% to a scoreboard, tab list, hologram, or other PlaceholderAPI-compatible plugin. PlayerPeakPlaceholder does not create scoreboards or other displays itself; it provides the stored record for compatible plugins to show.
- Check if the placeholder is working: run "/papi parse --null %playerpeak_max%". If the output is "0" (or "1" after joining the server) the plugin is working correctly.
Configuration
The record is kept in plugins/PlayerPeakPlaceholder/config.yml:
peak-players: 0
Auto updates when any new all time peak is achieved. You can also set it manually to a non-negative whole number.
Requirements:
- Paper 1.21 or higher.
- PlaceholderAPI is an optional dependency. It is only needed for placeholders to work.
