Cube Cuisine
Cube Cuisine that turns three familiar Minecraft creatures into a small system of experimental. Capture Slime, Magma, and Sulfur-themed ingredients in bowls, process them into flasks, infuse food, or spill their goo onto the ground to create interactive hazards with unique mechanics.
Goo Variants
Each goo behaves differently instead of simply applying Slowness.
Slime Goo
Slime Goo is elastic and sticky. Moving and struggling through it builds tension, and escaping can cause the goo to snap you backward like a stretched rubber band. It also slows movement, cushions falls, and creates a squishy, physical-feeling surface.
Magma Goo
Magma Goo affects your ability to fight accurately. The longer you remain inside it, the stronger the heat distortion and aim disruption become. Your vision begins to shimmer and your aim becomes increasingly unstable, making precise attacks and ranged weapons harder to use.
Sulfur Goo
Sulfur Goo releases dangerous fumes. Entering it rapidly drains your air meter, progressively contaminates your vision, and causes movement to become slightly more difficult as your remaining breath decreases. Staying inside too long results in suffocation damage, but the slowdown is designed so escaping is still possible.
All three goo types use custom particles, appropriate sounds, connected textures, sinking behavior, and fall cushioning to make them feel like actual substances rather than ordinary decorative blocks.
Bowls, Flasks, and Food Infusion
Cube Cuisine also includes consumable bowls based around each goo type.
These ingredients can be processed into flasks, which can then be used to secretly infuse compatible food with one of three effects:
- Elastic Lock — stores and manipulates movement momentum.
- Overheated — applies heat-related effects.
- Corrosion — damages equipment durability while respecting a minimum durability threshold.
Infused food can affect players and can also work when fed to compatible mobs that normally accept that food.
Silver Needle
The Silver Needle provides a way to inspect food for hidden contamination or infusion. This gives players a method of checking suspicious food before consuming it and adds an extra layer of interaction to the infusion system.
