Someone's There
Every so often, you'll hear a few footsteps close by. Always matching the ground you're actually standing on. There's never anyone there.
Features
Footsteps trigger at random intervals, from a random spot within a short radius of you — never right on top of you, never from an impossible location like open air.
The sound always matches the real block under it, using the same step sounds Minecraft's own world already has for that material — dirt, stone, wood, sand, whatever's actually there. Nothing is hardcoded to a specific biome or setting.
Instead of a single isolated sound, each trigger plays a short sequence of 2-3 steps, spaced apart using the same walking rhythm a real player has, with the position shifting slightly between each one — like someone actually taking a few steps nearby, not a single sound effect going off.
No visuals, no messages, no entity. Just sound.
