Name Colors
A simple server-side mod that adds a command for changing your name color in chat
With the mod installed on the server, players may run /color <hex_code> (e.g. /color ffff8d) to change their color
(the hex value may optionally be prefixed with #), and /color clear to reset their color back to the default.
All users with a color set will have their name appear their color in the chat and on the player list. On 26.2+, their locator bar color will also be changed to that color.
Works Fully Serverside
In multiplayer, the mod only needs to be installed on the server to function, and players without the mod installed are able to connect to servers with the mod installed.
Version Policy
As with most of my mods, the plan is to keep Name Colors on 1.21.1 Neoforge & Fabric for as long as 1.21.1 is a prominent version for modpacks, and continue pushing updates for the version of Minecraft on Fabric.
As the "long-term-support" version, 1.21.1 is the only Minecraft version older than Latest Release which will be receiving new versions of the mod.
Bug Reports
If you find any bugs, please report them to the codeberg repo
Modpacks
As with all of my mods, you may include Name Colors in any modpack.
