Tab Friends

A client-side Fabric mod for Minecraft that keeps friends at the top of the Tab player list, with customizable highlighting and an in-game friends manager.

Requires Fabric API. No server installation needed.

Features

• Friends appear first in Tab, even on crowded servers

• Separate friend lists for each server and singleplayer world, saved between sessions

Friends List

Press G to open the friends list. Change the shortcut in Options → Controls → Key Binds → Tab Friends.

Click a friend to edit their note and saved places. Press Esc to return to the list.

Waypoint export requires Xaero's Minimap. Install Xaero's World Map as well to view exported locations on the map.

Commands

All commands start with /tabfriends:

• /tabfriends add <player> — add a friend
• /tabfriends remove <player> — remove a friend
• /tabfriends list — show saved friends
• /tabfriends — show command help

Visual Display Configuration

Install Mod Menu (optional), then open Mods → Tab Friends → Configure.

Available settings:

• Visual color palette and hue selection
• Opacity slider
• HEX color input
• Live preview over the Minecraft background
• Reset to the default translucent blue: #8066CCFF (ARGB)

Click Save to apply changes. Appearance settings are stored in config/tab-friends-settings.json.
