Module Overview
TerraFirmaCraft is known for its realistic geological formations, primitive and hardcore survival mechanics, and ritualistic metallurgical forging system; Mekanism, on the other hand, is an industrial giant among modern technology mods, loved by players for its precise gas-fluid reactions, step-by-step mineral multiplication, and highly automated digital network.
Within the TFC ecosystem, the differences in philosophy between the two often lead to a difficult-to-bridge technological gap—TFC removed fundamental resources such as redstone from the original game and reconstructed the crustal rock layers and metal processing logic, making it difficult for conventional industrial technologies to take root naturally. MekaTFC is a dedicated compatibility module created to break down this barrier. It doesn't simply and crudely integrate item IDs, but rather deeply stitches the raw material network, mechanical structure, and upgrade chain of general-purpose machinery into the realistic world rules of TFC, allowing players to personally build cutting-edge digital industry step by step from the barbaric Stone Age.

Geological Integration: Primary Osmium Deposits and Exploration Systems
In MekaTFC, the core building block of general-purpose machinery—Osmium—follows the geological distribution patterns of the mountain legends. The module has tailored a total of 63 different grades of primary Osmium ore blocks for all 21 primary rock types in TFC (such as granite, diorite, gabbro, basalt, shale, etc.), covering three grades: barren, common, and rich.
The ore deposits are hidden deep underground in the form of clustered veins, while small fragments of primary osmium ore are scattered on the surface as clues for prospecting. When players use a prospecting pickaxe to explore, they can accurately detect primary osmium veins in the surrounding rock strata, experiencing the authentic mountain mining process from exploration and extraction to transportation. All ores are rendered with detailed semi-transparent and perforated textures, blending naturally into the surrounding rock formations.
Forging and Casting: Immersion Osmium Metallurgy
The collected raw osmium ore cannot be directly thrown into a conventional furnace for smelting. Instead, it needs to be incorporated into the TFC's metallurgical temperature scale and casting system. When heated to its melting point of 1500°C, the osmium ore will transform into a clear, light blue-green molten osmium fluid.
Players can use refractory clay ingot molds to cast molten osmium into ingots, or they can use a TFC anvil to weld two osmium ingots into a high-strength osmium double ingot through high-temperature hammering and fluxing. From raw material refining to metal shaping, every step is imbued with sweat and the sound of hammering.
Technological Enlightenment: Redstone Mixtures and the First Casing
The lack of original redstone is the biggest obstacle to the industrial age. MekaTFC introduced an early acquisition method that conforms to geochemical logic: a redstone mixture is made by finely proportioning sulfur powder, copper powder and iron powder, and then soaked and reacted in a sealed wooden barrel filled with clean water, which can precipitate and purify the redstone powder that is indispensable to the technological age.
Building upon this foundation, players must fuse a scorching wrought iron plate and osmium ingots together on a level 3 TFC anvil, manually hammering and casting the core component of general-purpose machinery—the steel casing. Through this ritualistic transitional process, the first roar of industrial civilization officially begins on the anvil and forge.
Factory Feedback: Full-Step Mineral Multiplication and Docking
Once the first industrial machine is assembled, TFC's various primary osmium ores and small surface ores can be seamlessly fed into the general machinery's grading and processing chain. From basic crushers and enrichment chambers to secondary purification chambers, and even advanced chemical injection and chemical dissolution chambers, each stage of processing is precisely tailored to the grade and yield ratio of TFC ores. Redstone mixtures are also integrated into the chemical injection route, allowing for batch extraction of redstone with higher conversion efficiency once industrial gases are available.
Difficulty Levels: Customizable Recipe Mode
To cater to the balance needs of different players and modpack authors, MekaTFC includes a built-in recipe difficulty configuration system: Easy mode retains the quick and simplified workbench access, suitable for players who prefer a lighter experience; Normal mode disables shortcuts, forcing players to rely heavily on TFC forging and barrel reaction to cross the technology threshold; at the same time, it also reserves an expansion interface for Hardcore mode for extreme challenges.

Subsequent versions will continue to expand the boundaries between technology and realistic survival, with a focus on the following:
The comprehensive industrialization of Qunluan Metals and Alloys: Integrating TFC's unique bronze series (black bronze, forged bronze, bismuth bronze) and high-end alloys (black steel, red steel, blue steel, etc.) into the alloy casting, pipeline upgrading and special mechanical component manufacturing of general machinery.
Energy and power system interconnection: opening up the primary conversion between TFC windmill/watermill mechanical kinetic energy and Joule/FE energy, and adjusting the combustion efficiency of TFC-specific fuels such as coke and anthracite in general mechanical generators and gas turbines.
Chemical and ecological agricultural cycle: Utilizing the unique fluids of TFC such as brine, mineral water, and lime water, and linking them with general-purpose mechanical thermal distillation towers and electrolytic separators, industrial-grade acid solutions and by-products are produced; TFC crops and vegetable oils are deeply integrated into the biofuel manufacturing chain.
Advanced Industrial Equipment Forging and Strengthening: Explore the mechanisms for strengthening, forging, quenching, and maintaining atomic decomposition blades and mecha-Suit components on TFC anvils.
The encyclopedia and ecosystem guidance are integrated: the custom flow display is adapted to the recipe search interface of EMI, JEI, etc., and a dedicated in-game guide document is provided.
