# Syringe Mod
Potions are no longer something you simply drink. Manufacture ampoules, organize your medicine bag, load your injection gun, and deliver each dose where it is needed most.
Syringe Mod adds a complete injectable-medicine system to Minecraft. Instead of introducing a few reskinned potions, it builds an interconnected gameplay loop around production, storage, reloading, self-injection, and ranged drug delivery.
From reliable regenerative treatments to the experimental X Reagent—which might let you fight the future or end it immediately—every injection is a deliberate choice.
Features
A Functional Injection Gun
The injection gun is the heart of the mod. It accepts both custom medicine ampoules and ampoules containing vanilla potion data.
- Left-click: inject the currently loaded medicine into yourself
- Hold right-click: enter the aiming stance
- Left-click while aiming: fire a medicine-carrying needle projectile
- Tap
R: automatically load the first available ampoule - Hold
Rfor about 0.4 seconds: open the clickable medicine selection wheel - Press
V: perform a quick injection - The visible chamber changes color to match the loaded medicine
- Fired needles retain the complete data of their loaded ampoules
- Projectiles leave a subtle particle trail matching the medicine’s color
- Injection, aiming, firing, and reloading have dedicated first-person animations
An injection gun has a base capacity of 64 uses. It only accepts the vanilla Unbreaking enchantment, with each level adding 16 additional uses.
Ampoules: Medicine Is Not a Beverage
Medicines are stored in sealed ampoules that cannot be consumed directly. They must first be loaded into an injection gun, making preparation, inventory organization, and reload timing part of the gameplay.
Syringe Mod also supports vanilla potions:
Process one vanilla potion together with one glass bottle to produce four ampoules that preserve the original potion data.
Ampoules containing different medicines—or different PotionContents data—remain separate. Their colors are consistently represented across item textures, the injection gun’s chamber, and fired projectiles.
Nine Medicines, Nine Different Consequences
| Medicine | Main effect | Risk and purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Combined Medical Ampoule | Powerful instant healing followed by 30 seconds of Regeneration II | An emergency treatment for critical situations |
| Stem Cell Activation Ampoule | 60 seconds of Regeneration | Reliable long-term recovery |
| Cell Repair Ampoule | Instant healing | A fast treatment with a short cooldown |
| Saturation Metabolism Ampoule | Restores hunger and saturation | Temporarily makes food someone else’s problem |
| Surge Ampoule | 90 seconds of Conduit Power | Designed for underwater operations |
| Resistance Ampoule | 45 seconds of Resistance II, Absorption II, and Fire Resistance | Protection for dangerous combat environments |
| Immunity Enhancement Ampoule | Removes all current effects, then grants short Regeneration and Health Boost | Removes beneficial effects too—use with care |
| X Reagent | Grants extensive healing and multiple powerful 90-second enhancements | Has a 3% chance to kill the target instantly |
| Vodka Ampoule | Randomly grants Haste III, Nausea, Poison, or a less recoverable result | Has a 5% chance to kill the target instantly |
Player injections involving anything other than vodka also have a 50% chance to inflict Hunger for 10 seconds. Strong medicines have individual cooldowns, so carrying enough ampoules does not eliminate the need for good decisions.
This mod is not medical advice. It is barely laboratory advice.
The Medicine Bag
The medicine bag is a portable nine-slot container dedicated entirely to ampoules.
- Press
Shift + Eto open it quickly - Automatic reloading searches the medicine bag before the player inventory
- Each slot holds up to 16 compatible ampoules
- When changing medicines, the previously loaded ampoule is safely returned to the bag or inventory
- If no safe return slot exists, the reload is cancelled instead of deleting the ampoule
- Includes animated opening, closing, and retracting ampoule storage
When Curios is installed, the medicine bag can be equipped in a belt slot and displayed using its dedicated worn model. Curios is optional; the bag remains fully usable from the normal inventory without it.
Dedicated Pharmaceutical Workstations
Medicine Crafting Table
The medicine crafting table turns raw ingredients into sealed, injection-ready ampoules.
It uses a furnace-like processing system with a dedicated interface, a clearly marked glass-container slot, and lightweight animated textures that show the water bath while the machine is operating.
It can produce:
- Stem Cell Activation Ampoules
- Cell Repair Ampoules
- Saturation Metabolism Ampoules
- Surge Ampoules
- Resistance Ampoules
- Immunity Enhancement Ampoules
- Vodka Ampoules
- Ampoules containing vanilla potion effects
Medicine Mixing Table
The medicine mixing table is a compact centrifuge-style workstation used to combine completed medicines into more advanced—and frequently more questionable—products.
During processing, the lid closes and the internal rotor begins spinning. When idle, the machine opens again to display its internal components.
Notable recipes include:
- Stem Cell Activation + Cell Repair → Combined Medical Ampoules
- Resistance + Surge → X Reagent
- Poison Potion + Weakness Potion → Joja Cola
Joja Cola is an independently drawn homage and does not directly reuse assets from another game.
Recipe Viewer Integration
Both custom processing systems include recipe-viewer support for:
- JEI
- EMI
With either mod installed, players can inspect the inputs, outputs, and associated workstations for medicine crafting and medicine mixing recipes.
Advancements and Questionable Science
Syringe Mod includes its own advancement branch:
-
A Furious Tailcock
Experience a side effect from an injection. -
How About We Fight the Future a Bit?
Produce the X Reagent. -
Bro, Lemme Ask You—Lemme Ask You...
Inject all nine custom medicines. -
Joja Co. Member of the Year
Produce Joja Cola in the medicine mixing table.
The names deliberately preserve the tone of vanilla advancements, community jokes, and pop-culture references. Science may require discipline; advancement names do not.
The Gameplay Loop
- Gather glass containers, metals, and pharmaceutical ingredients.
- Craft an injection gun, medicine bag, and both processing stations.
- Produce basic ampoules at the medicine crafting table.
- Combine finished medicines into advanced compounds.
- Organize different treatments inside the medicine bag.
- Select the required medicine through quick reload or the selection wheel.
- Inject yourself or fire a medicine-carrying needle at another living target.
- Deal with the side effects and insist that everything went according to protocol.
Requirements and Compatibility

|---|---|
| Minecraft | 1.21.1 |
| Mod loader | NeoForge |
| NeoForge version | 21.1.228 or newer, below 21.2 |
| Java | 21 |
| Environment | Client and server |

The mod must be installed on both the client and server. The current version has been built and tested in a NeoForge 21.1.228 client environment. Dedicated server owners are encouraged to test multiplayer synchronization, reconnect behavior, and Curios equipment state before using it in a long-term world.
Installation
- Install Minecraft 1.21.1.
- Install a compatible version of NeoForge.
- Place the Syringe Mod
.jarfile in the instance’smodsdirectory. - Optionally install Curios for the wearable medicine bag.
- Optionally install JEI or EMI for recipe browsing.
- Launch the game and review the reload, quick-injection, and medicine-bag keybindings under Controls.
Development Status
Syringe Mod is still under active development and in-game testing. Its central manufacturing, storage, reloading, and injection systems are functional, but future releases may adjust balance, animations, recipes, and compatibility behavior.
When replacing a development build, fully close Minecraft first. A running game may continue reading the old JAR while it is being replaced.
