This mod is not a port of the original "The Titans Mod". It is a recreation from scratch. A lot of things are different between my mod and the original Titans Mod. But I like the old titans mod and DOOM so i made this mod for the newer versions.... anyways:
This mod is WIP and in BETA so some features might not work properly.
Story
STORY:
It starts normally.
You progress through the world as expected — resources, structures, the End. The systems behave the way they always have. Cause and effect still apply.
Then you begin to push further.
The first break is small.
Nine Withers fall. Not for survival — for something else. Their remnants are used to create material that should not exist. From that, something even more restricted is formed.
Command blocks, no longer commands.
Objects that were never meant to be crafted begin appearing in your inventory.
That is the point where the rules stop holding.
THE NEXT STEP
The Titans are not discovered.
They are enabled.
Once you reach this stage, encounters are no longer scaled for you. They do not exist within normal difficulty curves. They exist because you now have the means to interact with them.
At first, you survive.
Then you adapt.
Then you stop taking damage entirely.
The Praetor Suit is not an upgrade. It is the removal of a condition — the point where survival is no longer something you maintain, but something that is always true.
ESCALATION
With the Crucible in hand, the direction of the game changes.
You are no longer progressing through content.
You are deciding what continues to exist.
Titans that ignore conventional damage become interactable. Systems designed to enforce failure stop functioning as intended. The environment itself becomes less stable the further you go.
Each encounter is no longer:
“can you defeat it?”
It becomes:
“what happens when you do?”
THE WALL
Eventually, you reach something that cannot be solved by strength alone.
Witherzilla.
At this point, everything you’ve built stops being enough. Not because you are weak — but because the system itself refuses to resolve the conflict in your favor.
This is where most progression ends.
Spoiler
THE DECISION
There is another option.
The Book of All Knowledge.
Using it is not part of normal progression. It is a deviation — a deliberate choice to bypass the encounter entirely.
Witherzilla is sent back to the centre through a portal.
But Wait! Something else has taken its place.
COREMODS
JAVA AGENT
OPTIONAL JAVA AGENT
This agent is an agentmain and it can be disabled
To disable this agent:
- Run the mod at least once
- Open your workspace folder
- Navigate to > Config , > DOOM x Titans modconfig , > modconfig.properties
- Edit the file to say java_agent=false
To Re-Enable this agent:
- Run the mod at least once
- Open your workspace folder
- Navigate to > Config , > DOOM x Titans modconfig , > modconfig.properties
- Edit the file to say java_agent=true
If you do not trust the mod agent at all you can do the following:
- Open your workspace folder
- Navigate to > Config: Create these specific files > DOOM x Titans modconfig , > modconfig.properties
- Open the modconfig.properties file and add a line to say exactly: java_agent=false
This makes it so you dont have to run the mod to be able to disable the agent
NOTE:
- this runtime agent will be available from version 2.0.5 onwards.
- if you write anything other than java_agent=true OR java_agent=false in the modconfig.properties the agent will default to true and will run normally.
- the agent adds an extra layer of defense for the mod's armor alongside the coremod and forge events. The armor will be way weaker with the agent set false in modconfig.properties
- if this agent is enabled, it will run twice.. once before transformation service initialize and once before the main game loads
- if you experience compatibility issues with other mods, if the game is stuck at not responding or you are unable to join a multiplayer server which runs this mod too, then you should try disabling the agent(from what i have tested. The mod works fine if both the server and client are running the agent or are not running the agent.. Problems can occur when the server is running the agent and the client is not or vise versa)
JAVA-SCRIPT
JS - Main Coremod:
This is a .js file which the modlauncher(forge/neo) loads thru their coremod service normally. Its main job is to mainly make the players wearing the armor invulnerable
It Patches:
> - Death
> - TickDeath
> - Die
> - IsDeadORDying
> - Kill
> - Get Health, Sethealth(only in 1.20.1)/(this is handled with normal events in other versions)
> - SetRemoved
> - Remove
> - Discard
> - OnRemoveKilled
> - Attacked
> - Hurt
> - ActuallyHurt
> - IsPickable
- It also makes The Titans immune to despawn unless their custom death has triggered
NOTE: This is not optional and the modlauncher runs it normally. It is like mixins but it can patch more stuff in 1 .js file. "Why JS and not mixins?" - Because i have to make less changes in a .js file compared to editing different mixins and changing their mappings every 2-3 updates.
MODLAUNCHER SERVICES
Transformation & Plugin Services:
These are a bunch of .java files which transform minecraft bytecode at runtime and run very early due to the modlauncher running them earlier(before mods load)
It Patches:
> - Death
> - TickDeath
> - Die
> - IsDeadORDying
> - Kill
> - Get Health, Sethealth(only in 1.20.1)/(this is handled with normal events in other versions)
> - SetRemoved
> - Remove
> - Discard
> - OnRemoveKilled
> - Attacked
> - Hurt
> - ActuallyHurt
> - IsPickable
NOTE: These are not optional. These do the exact same stuff as the JS Coremod for redundancy but the modlauncher runs these earlier.
NOTE-2:These are basically what library mods use. These do what mixins do but much earlier, These also load the JAVA_AGENT if it is enabled
- Keep in mind that this mod is very technical. That said it doesnt mean that it is automatically malware, even the Java agent .jar will now be optional in the config and runs no native code(Post version: 2.0.3). The other 2 Coremods are fully forge/neoforge legal, a lot of mods run the same techniqies. modlauncher ships with java script support since 1.12.x and modlauncher services are the modern equivalent to java script.
- this mod does not interact with anything outside of minecraft or other mod files.
CREDITS
The following resource packs contributed assets and heavily inspired armors or items from this project:
Description:
DOOM The Titans is a power creep mod which adds some MASSIVE new Titan bosses to fight, new features, weopans, a mech, and 4 unique, very OP armor sets and weopans
What it adds:
- New massive titan bosses based on the 1.7.10 Mrbt0907 and Enderman of doom's The Titans Mod
- 4 New armor sets with a seperate weopan for each armorset each set with its unique abilities including: A New armor set called the preator suit based on DOOM Eternal. Which can survive any sort of custom or vanilla deaths/damage
- New structures/features based on DOOM
- Some cool lore surrounding the bosses
- A crucible weopan used to end the new titan bosses. And sets the max health of normal mobs to -∞
⚠️Disclaimer⚠️
This mod is not vanilla plus, it is very powerful
- The bosses can kill you in creative mode.
- Your world can become unplayable because of death loops if you decide to spawn the bosses near your world spawn.
- It's possible for this mod to crash the game some times.
- This mod takes a lot of time to beat in survival. Which is why you should pair it with mods like:
- ProjectE
- ProjectExpansion
- Avaritia, because it has tools to easily get wither skeleton skulls

**These Titans are really powerful entities which can survive the /kill command and can kill you in creative mode too. the special armorsets will help you survive getting hit by the titans. And you can hope to end them only if you have one of the 4 custom swords that the mod gives you. **
ARMORS & WEAPONS
To beat these titans you can use any of the 4 custom swords which deal a set amount of custom true damage to these titans making a challenging fight. The strongest of which is "The Crucible" which is a part of the preator set dealing the most damage to the titans being able to end them in around 50-1000 hits depending on how strong the titan.
To actually survive these titans you have to wear any of the 4 custom armorsets which include:
-
WITHERINIUM ARMOR: The weakest of the bunch. Will only help you get started against the lesser Titans. But without it there is no hope to surviving even the lesser titans.
-
PLOT ARMOR: When in the full set of "PLOT ARMOR" you have a 50% chance to negate any incoming attacks, damage or even death 😳
-
BEDROCK ARMOR: This is the strongest natural armor in the mod. It doesnt have any special abilities but it negates the most amount of titan and normal damage.
-
THE PREATOR SUIT: The strongest armor in all of modded minecraft, not just this mod but all of modded minecraft. It negates any and all sorts of custom, modded or vanilla damage and death systems and transfers them directly to your max health. Not that it matters because you already start out with infinite health which never goes down.
This mod is WIP so lots of other weapons, titans and armors will be added too
TECHNICAL NOTES
- Multiplayer: Behaviour may vary depending on server configuration (if java agent is enabled or disabled on client and server)
- Compatibility: Will override mechanics from other mods — particularly invasive ones eg: mods which try to invade and disable other mod's coremods on purpose(no normal or even abnormal mod should be doing anything like this at all). This is by design.(If you dont want it doing that then disable the java agent: learn how to do that in the Coremods / JAVA AGENT section)
