Introducing Surface rule compiler
A major optimization which translates surface rule tree into method handles (which can be translated into raw javacode). This currently results in a speedup of 2x in overworld, 3x in nether. The compiler can still be optimized further so expect even better results in the future.
Special thanks to
- ishland for suggesting method handles
- taumc members for discussing compat and surface rules
- DJ for testing and benchmarking
Added
- Add new surface rule compiler (+ fallback interpreter)
- Optimize/heavily trim down surface rule tree
- Add debug option to disable carvers, features and entities stage
Fixed
- remove debug mixin export
Known incompatibilities

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
