DirtEnchant

Put any enchantment on a dirt block in survival mode, using a normal anvil and an enchanted book. Enchanted dirt then actually does something when you hit mobs with it.

Features

  • Enchant dirt in the anvil. Place a dirt block in the left slot and an enchanted book in the right slot. Enchantments are applied even if they normally can't go on that item, and levels can go above the vanilla maximum.
  • Working combat effects. When you hit a mob while holding enchanted dirt:
    • Sharpness, Smite and Bane of Arthropods add bonus damage
    • Fire Aspect sets the mob on fire
    • Knockback pushes the mob away
    • Channeling strikes the mob with lightning (you are not hurt by your own lightning)
    • Multishot also damages every mob near the one you hit, and Channeling strikes all of them too
  • Exclusive enchantments (optional). Each enchantment can be owned by only one player on the server: the first player to take an enchanted dirt from the anvil owns that enchantment, and nobody else can put it on dirt. Everyone can still use the other enchantments. Perfect for servers where every player has their own unique power.
  • Fully configurable. Choose which blocks can be enchanted (dirt, grass block, podzol, ...), turn each effect on or off, and tweak radius, damage and XP cost.

dirtenchant.use (default: everyone) allows enchanting dirt and using its effects.

Installation

  1. Requires Paper 26.3 and Java 25.
  2. Drop the jar into your server's plugins folder.
  3. Restart the server. A config.yml is created in plugins/DirtEnchant/.
