Equator 🌐 (Nostalgica)
Equator is a 1.20.1 vanilla-friendly world generation datapack that refreshes the Minecraft Overworld without completely changing its identity.
It focuses on making the world feel richer, greener and slightly more nostalgic, with larger vanilla-style trees, denser vegetation and more varied terrain. The goal is to make exploration feel fresh while still looking unmistakably like Minecraft.

🌳 Larger & More Varied Trees
Equator expands several vanilla tree types with larger and more interesting variants.
Included tree changes cover:
- Oak
- Birch
- Spruce
- Jungle
- Mangrove
- Cherry
- Acacia
Forests feel denser and more impressive while still using normal Minecraft blocks and a familiar vanilla style.
🌱 Denser Grass
Grass and fern generation has been increased and adjusted across the Overworld.
This gives plains, forests and other green biomes a much fuller appearance and helps make the world feel less empty.
⛰️ Improved Overworld Terrain
Equator also modifies Overworld terrain generation, creating more interesting hills, valleys and landscapes while keeping the overall vanilla character.
The terrain changes work together with the larger trees and increased vegetation to give the world a slightly old-school, nostalgic exploration feeling without trying to directly recreate Minecraft Alpha or Beta terrain.
🪨 Stone Generation
The pack also includes several andesite, diorite and granite placement definitions from Terralith: ReStoned.
These mostly preserve vanilla-style stone generation and can help restore those settings when another datapack modifies them.

📦 Installation
New World
Add the ZIP through the Data Packs menu while creating your world and enable it before generating the world.
Existing World / Server
Place the ZIP inside:
world/datapacks
Then restart the world or server.
For the most consistent terrain generation, using Equator when creating a new world is recommended.
Existing chunks will not be regenerated.
⚠️ Compatibility
Only use one version of Equator at a time.
Other world generation datapacks that modify the same Minecraft features may override parts of Equator depending on datapack loading order.
