Bigger Every Kill
Every mob killed by a player makes all mobs in the world 0.05 bigger.
The counter is shared across the whole server.
How it works
- Kills are detected by a
minecraft:player_killed_entityadvancement. Only kills by a player count: deaths from lava, falling or other mobs leave the counter alone. - Killing another player doesn't count.
- Size is set through the
minecraft:scaleattribute:1.0 + 0.05 × kills. - Every tick the pack finds entities whose size is out of date and updates them. New spawns, mobs from freshly loaded chunks and all mobs after a new kill get the current size within one tick.
Commands
| Command | Effect |
|---|---|
/function bigger_every_kill:reset |
Resets the counter. Sizes revert on the next tick. |
/scoreboard players get #total bigger_every_kill.kills |
Shows the total number of kills. |
Configuration
The step is set in data/bigger_every_kill/function/load.mcfunction, in thousandths:
scoreboard players set #step bigger_every_kill.kills 50
50 = +0.05, 10 = +0.01. Run /reload after editing; sizes update on their own.
Limitations
- The
scaleattribute caps at16. With a step of 0.05 the cap is reached at kill 300. - Hitboxes grow along with size: large mobs get stuck in corridors and stop fitting into caves and houses.
- Every entity except players is resized, including leashed mobs, mobs in boats and pets.
