AtmosphereCraft: Infinite World is an atmospheric Forge 1.20.1 modpack inspired by FreshCraft. It makes survival Minecraft look, sound and feel more alive — floating islands, warm sunsets, living forests — without turning it into a different game.
What it adds
Looks. Complementary Reimagined with Euphoria Patches and a custom "Atmosphere" preset: warm sunrises, cool nights, soft distance haze and colored block light. Fresh Animations and Fresh Moves for smoother mobs and players, Resprited for a fresh take on vanilla textures, Continuity connected textures, Visuality, Subtle Effects, Particular (waterfall spray, falling leaves), Particle Rain and Cave Dust. Animated doors and chests (FWA), Tiny Item Animations and a blurred menu background. A new sunset title screen.
Sound. AmbientSounds and Tense Ambience fill every biome with its own soundscape, Sound Physics Remastered adds real reverb in caves, Presence Footsteps gives every surface its own steps, Extra Sounds adds UI sounds, Hear the Wind howls when you fly fast.
A living world. Nature's Spirit biomes, Towns & Towers, YUNG's Better Dungeons, Mineshafts and Strongholds, Better Archeology. Alex's Mobs, Critters & Companions, Creeper Overhaul, Ribbits and Guard Villagers. L_Ender's Cataclysm bosses and Better Combat for a fight worth having.
Survival. Cold Sweat temperature — dress for the mountains. TreeChop, Carry On, Sophisticated Backpacks, Lootr.
Cooking and farming. Farmer's Delight with Chef's Delight, Farmer's Respite, Lemoned, Let's Do: Vinery and Herbal Brews, Create: Central Kitchen, and the pack's own addon Atmosphere Delight (Misty Bread, Traveler's Jerky, Forest Stew, Sunset Berry Pie, Dawn Honey Cake).
A little tech. Create with New Age, Jetpack and Enchantment Industry — there if you want it, never in your way.
Performance. Embeddium with Rubidium Extra, Oculus, ModernFix, FerriteCore, ImmediatelyFast, Entity Culling and Dynamic FPS.
Why download If you want the cozy feel of a "shader pack" style modpack — better graphics, better sound, better food — without a heavy tech or magic overhaul, this is it. Vanilla-plus survival: everything you know still works, it just looks and sounds better while you do it.
Before you download
- Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47.4.20. A few Fabric mods run through Sinytra Connector, so the first launch takes longer — that's expected.
- Allocate 6 GB of RAM (8 GB if you raise render distance with shaders): Modrinth App → instance settings → Java and memory. Don't give it more than half of your PC's memory.
- Multiplayer: the full mod list is needed on both client and server.
- Shaders are on by default. If FPS is low, pick a lower profile in the shader settings or turn shaders off with K.
- Playing on a Mac? Use AtmosphereCraft: macOS Edition — it's tuned for Apple Silicon.
Credits
- Resprited by Infernalizard — included with the author's permission (pack_format updated for 1.20.1). Get it on Modrinth
- Atmosphere Delight — the pack's own MIT-licensed addon, building on End's Delight, More Delight, Delight Lib and Farmer's Cutting: Quark.
- Title screen built from the map Large All Biome Sky Islands by Flamedek.
- Inspired by the FreshCraft modpack.
- All other mods, resource packs and shaders are downloaded from their authors' own Modrinth pages.
