Lineage β genetics, families, and traits for Minecraft
Lineage adds a genetics system to your server. Every player gets their own set of genes, which can be passed down to future generations. You can start families, manage bloodlines, and compete for the purest ancestry.
𧬠Genes and their effects
When a player joins for the first time, they receive a random set of genes. These can be helpful (more damage, faster movement, extra health) or harmful (less experience, lower luck, slower speed). Genes are inherited by children, but there's a chance one gene gets lost along the way β so each generation can end up stronger or weaker than the last.
πͺ Families and lineage trees
Players can create families with others they've already had a child with. Families can be given a custom name, and you can open a visual list of all members and their connections.
𧬠Birth and inheritance
To create a child, use /pair and wait for the other player to accept. Hearts appear, and a "child" is created with genes from both parents. When a new player joins the server, they can inherit those genes and will see a message telling them who their "parents" are.
β οΈ Bloodline penalties
The system tracks who's related to who. If two relatives create a child together, that child will receive stat penalties. The further this goes, the worse the penalties get. This encourages players to keep their bloodline clean if they want to stay strong.
If the bloodline stays pure, the player may receive hidden bonuses β for example, extra luck or faster experience gain. There are over 40 of these bonuses in total.
π² Mutations and rare abilities
Sometimes a child is born with a rare mutation β a one-of-a-kind ability that can't be passed down. Examples include reflecting damage, auto-healing, or faster movement.
π Leaderboards
You can check who has the most children, who has the purest bloodline, and who has the most tangled family tree. The leaderboard updates automatically.
π‘οΈ Ancient bloodlines and achievements
There's a small chance a new player gets a unique gene and a message saying: "You belong to an ancient bloodline that has survived for centuries." There's also a small achievement system tied to family and inheritance.
