NOTE: this was created by HappyMeek, I saw they had the same issue on Discord so I reached out and they provided this datapack which provided the perfect solution in my eyes. It has only been uploaded by me here as permission was given by Meek to do so in order to get it out to the people, I believe they have also since uploaded this on Curseforge (this pack is 1 and the same with that pack).
When running deep ocean mods alongside Spawn and Aquamirae, overlapping biome placements can trigger harsh chunk-aligned cutouts that really stood out to me and looked very unatural (like in the image that shows before this datapack is added, after it just looks normal). This update remaps specific ocean biomes to create smooth, natural-looking transitions across deep frozen waters.
Key Fixes & Enhancements
Targeted Biome Remapping: Shifts Spawn's deep cold ocean biomes into the standard deep_ocean biome category specifically where Spawn islands generate, preventing them from overriding and carving into the Aquamirae Ice Maze.
Preserved Ice Formations: Modifies only the overlapping zone—leaving the rest of the Aquamirae ice biome and its surrounding frozen structures intact while smoothing out chunk borders.
Seamless World Generation: Eliminates synthetic, razor-sharp biome borders where island terrain cuts directly through frozen ice structures, resulting in a continuous, natural oceanic landscape.
Usage & Integration
Plug-and-Play Datapack: Easily drops into your world or modpack to resolve generation conflicts without needing complex worldgen modifications or extra mod dependencies.
