ChestCraft
Craft straight out of your storage. ChestCraft upgrades every crafting table so it can pull ingredients from chests, barrels, and other containers sitting nearby — no more shuffling stacks back and forth just to craft.
How it works
Put a chest (or several) next to any crafting table, open the table, and click a recipe in the recipe book. ChestCraft takes the ingredients from your inventory first, then from any container within range — so you can craft even with an empty inventory, as long as the materials are in storage close by.
The recipe book even highlights what you can craft from nearby storage, not just from what's in your pockets.
Features
- 🧰 Craft from nearby containers — any crafting table sources ingredients from chests, barrels, shulker boxes and more within a configurable radius (default: 6 blocks).
- 🔎 Storage-aware recipe book — recipes you can make from nearby storage light up as craftable.
- 🧩 Works with modded storage — uses the standard item-handler capability, so most modded inventories work out of the box.
- ⚙️ Configurable range — set the search radius anywhere from 1 to 32 blocks.
- 🪶 No new blocks or GUIs — it's just your normal crafting table, upgraded. Sneak-right-click still places blocks as usual.
Configuration
config/chestcraft-server.toml:
radius— how far (in blocks) to search around the table for containers. Default6, range1–32.
Multiplayer
ChestCraft must be installed on both the server and every client.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1
- NeoForge 21.1.0 or newer
