Deathcoinmod
Deathcoinmod gives you one safe chance to recover from a bad death.
When a player dies, their normal item drops remain in the world as usual. After respawning, they receive a Deathcoin containing a snapshot of the items and experience lost in that death. Right-click the coin to restore its contents; the original death drops are removed at the same time, and the coin becomes ready to store the next death.
Features
- Reuses a Deathcoin for later deaths after it restores lost inventory items and experience.
- Leaves vanilla death drops visible until the coin is redeemed.
- Prevents duplicated recovery: each Deathcoin can be redeemed only once, even if the item is copied.
- Tracks successful redemptions with the
deathcoinmod:deathcoins_usedstatistic and active unredeemed coins withdeathcoinmod:deathcoins_not_used. - Lets operators control access per player:
/deathcoin prohibit <players>blocks players from redeeming Deathcoins./deathcoin allow <players>restores their access.
- Persists redeemed-drop cleanup and player restrictions across server restarts.
Configuration
On first launch, the server creates config/deathcoinmod.json. Set any of these values to true to keep that equipment through death instead of putting it into a Deathcoin:
keepArmor— vanilla armor slots.keepOffhand— vanilla offhand slot.keepTrinkets— Trinkets slots, when Trinkets 3.10.0 is installed.
