Prism Skies replaces Minecraft's sky with a living nebula — a slowly churning field of colour generated entirely from mathematics, with no textures anywhere in the pack. In the Overworld it shifts as the day turns, from light blue at noon through burning orange in the afternoon to deep purple at night, draining toward grey when it rains but never quite losing its hue. The Nether gets the same nebula in red, with cloud banks drifting overhead and lit from beneath by the lava, while the End tumbles endlessly through blue, purple and pink. Underneath all of it sits a full lighting rework: real shadows with coloured light through stained glass, directional sun and moonlight, bounce light filling in overhangs, genuinely dark caves, volumetric godrays in every dimension, and fog that pools in the valleys. Water moves with real displaced waves and drinks in the colour of whatever the sky is doing — blue at midday, gold at sunset, violet at midnight. Clouds are gone entirely, because with a sky like this they'd only be in the way.
