Overview
The mod mainly adds the infinity stones, an item that can harness the power of it (ie, the infinity gauntlet) and a container for it (ie, the infinity tesseracts). Other items are for progressions and connecting the mod.
Infinity Stones
The stones themselves are not special, other than that they are basically indestructible. They have abilities that are not exactly the most controllable. Currently, the power stone will kill you, if you hold it long enough and the space stone will teleport you randomly. Maybe into a wall. Maybe somewhere safe. Who knows? The other stones have abilities too. Try to find them.
Infinity Tesseracts
I was rather fascinated by the concept of the tesseract being a container of the space stone, so to simplify the mod (and my job), I decided to use tesseracts as the container for the infinity stones. Each tesseract holds an infinity stone. Power tesseract holds the power stone, space tesseract holds the space stone and so on. Left-clicking breaks it and gives you the corresponding stone.
Infinity Gauntlet
The Infinity Gauntlet wields all the 6 infinity stones. Currently, there are limited abilities for the gauntlet with the stones and the power you get from all 6 stones is not balanced yet.
Compatibility
So far, considering the amount of mixins used by the mod, I have found no game-breaking crashes with the following mods:
- Sodium
- Lithium
- FerriteCore
- ImmediatelyFast
- Culling mods like Entity Culling and MoreCulling
- Indium
- Iris + Complementary Shaders: Reimagined Unbound Edition
The mixins I have used (and will use) shouldn't significantly affect other mods. Feel free to use this mod with any mod in a modpack or such.
Known Issues
Currently, no issues are known. Feel free to report felt issues. Refer to the section below for that.
Bug Reports
Bug reports can be submitted to my GitHub. Mention the issue briefly as the title and explain the issue experienced in-depth. Attach crash logs, mods used, versions of the mods used, etc. so that I can pin down the problem. I will try my best to resolve it. Currently, since the mod is in beta and I haven't finalized anything, I do not accept issues regarding the lack of features, missing textures, visual or other minor bugs.
Stability
It will definitely take some time for the mod to attain stability. v1.0.0 would be the first offical stable release, whenever that happens...
Note to not use this mod in a Minecraft world you love, especially certain versions that I mark as potentially world-corrupting.
Future
I don't plan on porting the mod to a higher version. Porting concepts from 1.20.1 to a higher version has been made very difficult due to changes to Minecraft internals and fabric's philosophy of being a lean wrapper over Minecraft.
Credits
I have to give credit to Lucraft and his 1.12.2 mods that added the infinity stones. In a sense, I made this mod to feel the satisfaction of a completed infinity stone-oriented mod in recent versions of Minecraft. I did use his infinity gauntlet textures because I was lazy to make my own and I love his style. The other parts of the mod were inspired by these kind of mods back in the 1.12 era of Minecraft.
Myself
I am not an avid developer. I recently started learning Java, and I am not so familiar with the fabric modding environment, but I will try my best to make the mod as polished as possible. Suggestions are welcome. Thank you!
